This is well maintained property. Clean and comfortable. But please note that it consists of 2 parts, about 1 km apart, both in lemon tree garden. When booking, ask for the main part, because it has a poll and restaurant. The dinners at the restaurant are very good and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. It was good value for money and in a good location for the places we wanted to visit. The children liked best the games available and the pool. We liked the citrus groves. Food at the restaurant was delicious. We will definitely go back.
all reviews » Paradise! Set in an exquisite setting of citrus groves and brilliant flowers. Rooms are in former stone farm buildings brought up to a very high standard. Comfortable and attractive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and bountiful. the farm house is very well designed with great gardens and a pool. the food was very good and the staff very friendly. Resort like facility on a farm. Very nice people, great food and right near Mt. Etna. place is fantastic with very good food and wonderful views. very helpful staff. this is the second time good place to stay good starters for food will be back. Everything.... food, rooms and very friendly. all was beautiful, kind hosts. Nice place. There was a nice view at the Etna mountain. The property looks really nice, surrounded by lemon trees. The swimming pool was clean and had a bar as well. We enjoyed the dinners at the restaurant, next to our room. Our baby could sleep on time, while we could have a relaxing evening!. Clean comfortable rooms. Nice playground near the main building. No international channels on TV. There was nothing much to complain about. Would have liked to have the shower water next to the pool warm. As with the rest of Sicily, driving through the village close by was difficult, made worse by the tons of garbage piled high along the streets. Obviously not the fault of Galea, but off-putting for tourists. very hard to find , didn't show up on the sat nav, ended up with local police bringing us there,one way to make an entrance. the main house is better if you haven't got a car or have small children as the annex where we were is 1km down the main road so a car is needed to go between each place. as its a fruit farm there is a lot of insects so lots of bites. The town of Riposto doesn't have much going for it. pity that outside galea residence, while walking in the city center you ll notice alot of garbage not collected. a bit hard to find restaurant charges. internet only in the restaurant. They should do more with the fruits growing on their land, why not on the menu?. no hot water 1 night, minor as it was fixed by morn. The breakfast was poor: the bread and the croissants were really dry. The room was very basic and not a lot of direct sunlight. It is a pity that they do not exploit the full potential of the property (lemons). Not in Riposto centre, but at a few km from there. Hard to find without gps. Rodents being active, gnowing, and making a lot of noise all night long .... Staff is aware of this problem (lasting for 2 years, they said)! No fresh towels, even after 3 days. No wifi in the rooms, only at the main building. Food is ok but little choice in menu.
