  Loved that the location was so calm and peaceful. The facilities offered a large lounge room, plus large bathroom and bedroom. Felt very spacious. We opted to dine at the hotel's restaurant and were so thrilled with the food that was presented....a wonderful choice of dishes and so wonderfully cooked. Truly the best gnocchi!!!! The room is lovely, spacious, with nice bathroom and good mattresses. The dinner at the hotel should not be missed; the food is wonderful - a real find and quite reasonable. The breakfast was nice, not just sweets.

  Great hotel. Room we stayed in was huge, spotless and very clean. The bathroom was huge and spotless. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with an excellent variety of fuits and other staples. Good firm superking sized bed in a standard room. A lot of the original stone had been built into the deisgn and was well done.Very quite. We had a back room 415 and with the shutters closed it was silent. In summer if you wanted to open the shutters there is an aircon machine nearby which is noisy.

  All the staff at the hotel were wonderful, so helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful, has a lovely little bar which is open late, and a beautiful dining room with a fabulous view of the beach. It was pouring it down with rain when the ferry arrived at Stromboli and we were thankful that a golf car was waiting for us.   The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats. The pool is really big and kept clean and kids have plenty of room to wander about and play. We had a quadruple room which was quite spacious and very clean with quite comfortable beds. The parking spaces are numbered matching the room number so each guest has his own parkin - What a haven of peace & tranqulity set in beautiful gardens with a very inviting pool - we had a lovely time just wished we`d stayed longer.Our hosts couldn`t do enough for us and even followed us out in the morning to make sure we got on the motorway ok - thankyou for a very relaxing stay.

  The staff were extremely helpful and sympathetic. We had a small problem with a key, and they were eager to sort it out very quickly. The rooms are airy and comfortable (we stayed in 2 different ones on separate nights), and we were given a quiet one at the back when we asked for one.   The big balcony with a view of the park is great. Food at the restaurant is good. - hotel itself was very nice, rooms were a good size and standard, and view from sew view window was lovely. staff were helpful, although one or two of them need to learn how to smile.

  Everything about our stay was ideal and perfect. We absolutely loved the hospitality that Guido and Ada provided, as well as their entire team. The beautifully decorated rooms in such a stunning setting, together with incredible food and wine, plus all the special little touches (such as fresh flowers in the room and even a chocolate bunny on East... what people say » er!) were done in such great taste and thoughtfulness. The fruit and vegetables grown on site were amazing to enjoy for breakfast (especially the fres - The attention to detail was amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The country setting was lovely. The only problems we had were returning at the end of a days outing in the car as the GPS did not pick up all the small roads. A very detailed map is important to have. As well there are one way streets in the nearby towns so you don't always follow the same routes leaving the hotel and returning to it.
