To call it 'basic' would be an injustice - its a simple place, exactly how hotels used to be, without the modern frills that many hotels now offer (eg aircon, fridge). What it does offer is: charming and helpful family owners, great location (just 3mins walk off the lake-shore) on a quiet lane, simple accommodation, balcony overlooking quiet leafy gardens. Lovely hotel, great value for money, definitely recommended

The room and bathroom were large and clean(we were fortunate to have been allocated a room with a balcony). The breakfast buffet was extensive, including fresh fruit (not just tinned). Everything was perfect at Hotel Calissano! The room was beautiful and the bathroom was gorgeous. The staff was so helpful and friendly; they gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants.
