The owners were passionate about their property and have made a stunning old building into a beautiful small hotel with a homely feel. Decor is lovely using both old and new pieces throughout to keep in style of the area and period of the building.
They were always on hand if you needed anything and very helpful with places to visit and eat.

The owner was extremely nice and very hospitable. The evening welcome drink turned into a full dinner. Breakfast plentiful with home made cakes and many different cheeses of Piedmont. The owner was very helpful with recommendations of all sorts (from dinner reservations to jogging routes). We felt very welcome and were pampered constantly. The place feels like home (with 100% service). The house was carefully renovated with much taste.

The staff is nice and kind, our room was clean, the hotel is easily reachable by foot in 5 mins from Porta Nuova railway station, the breakfast is adequate but not large. Hotel Romano is exactly what I expected - a cheap hotel near the train
station. It is only about 2 minutes from platform to hotel lobby. The
sights in the central part of town are a very easy 15 minute walk or so.
The hotel is managed by a Chinese family who are nice and accommodating.
The room was basic but quite large, adequately appointed (minus a
fridge) and warm in December.
