Positives: Casa Santa Sophia is a delight!
Joined to the convent, it is run by the Catechist Sisters of St Anne (there's mass every morning at 06:50, if you fancy joining them).
Simply furnished, this is a very basic hotel, and not one for a "romantic weekend" perhaps, but a perfect crash-pad for friends having a break in Rome.
I loved it - clean, quiet, spacious, friendly.

Small, neat and quite hotel with 24h reception. Our double room No 212 was spacious, clean and very comfortable, facing inner yard, thus quite at night. Do not expect sea views as it is centre located hotel, however Termini (central railway and bus station) is just 5 min away. No breakfast, but we did not need it and there are plenty of bars/pasticeries where you can have cappucino with freshly baked pastries/snacks. This was a lovely hotel with a wonderful staff who were extremely helpful! It is a little tricky to find because the driving direction changes mid-street on the street it is located. Also the name changes on the street - so Rome! We were driving a rental car so if you are on foot or going by taxi it is much easier. A very nice hotel in an area that is less touristy in Rome.
