  The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. Staff able to book trek to crater for guests, breakfast served at nearby bar with good choice of items. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island.

Close to beaches that you can reach by foot but note that restaurants and 'night life' (bar, pub...) are all located in Lipari center (easily reachable by bis).   The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was relaxing and delicious. The location was in a quiet area yet two blocks from the main street.   We traveled out of season (March) and found Villaggio Stromboli as one of the few places operating. We truly loved the place. It consists of a set of rooms/villas on terraces overlooking the ocean and a lovely black sand beach, with direct views of the Strombolichio and the sea in the front, and the volcano in the back. It was quiet, well kept, and made up - This hotel was absolutely breathtaking and perfect for our stay in Stromboli. The hotel driver was waiting our arrival at the port when our ferry came in at 5:40 and he took us to the hotel. There was a sitting room for us to enjoy while we waited for our room to become available. The staff was most welcoming. Francesca spoke English and was able to assist us with everything we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

  The hotel provided a shuttle service free of charge. There was a lovely man waiting for us when we got off the hydrofoil, which made the travel a lot less stressful.
