Villa Fraulo is set in a stunning location, high on the cliffs looking over the sea. The town of Ravello is wonderful, full of great restaurants, small shops and lovely buildings. The staff at the hotel were very, very helpful. Rosella helped myself and my fiance with arranging trips, the waiters and restaurant manager could not have been more helpful. The hotel was arranged a car to collect us from Naples airport and the driver was able to provide a tour to Pompei, Vesuvius and Herculaneum whi.

Infinity pool is spectacular (much bigger and more luxurious than it appears in the pictures). Service is excellent - Giuseppe, the porter and car park manager is charming and effective. Reception staff also very good. However, the Bar/terrace/pool staff must be more proactive!. I'm so impressed by this Hotel, we had the best weekend stay. The staff is so helpful and friendly, especially the guys working in the bar/restaurant. We were in Ravello for a wedding and had guest staying in all the near by hotels, This is by far the friendliest hotel and the standards were great including a wonderful breakfast. If I come to Ravello again I will for sure stay here!. Building had been newly renovated with multiple luxury features, including a beautiful bath with his and hers sinks. Everything was sparkling clean and functional. Beautiful limestone floors, tiles, etc gave a luxury feel. Location and view were outstanding and price very reasonable. Pool and sundeck very relaxing. Staff were wonderful, nothing was too difficult. Rooms were huge (we had a suite) and an amazing view of the Amalfi coast. Breakfast was ample. Dinner was lovely on the restaurant as well. Our room was 2nd floor, overlooking a road, so did suffer from the associated road noise - balcony therefore not quite as relaxing as numerous others we've enjoyed in Italy. Staff was perfunctory at best; waiters and porters tried to help, but overall tone of help was strained. Breakfast was ok but sub-par for luxury hotel. Nothing! All very good. Small balconies, pool closed early would have been nice to swim a bit later. Nothing. Ice cold swimming pool. Wasps on the breakfast veranda at breakfast time. Small lounge area. Spa at extra cost. Parking. There was nothing to dislike about this hotel. We were on the 2nd floor and the only issue was the horn blowing from the cars below, even through the double glazing, from 8.00 in the morning until 8.00 in the evening. That is our only complaint. Cold reception,however a BIG thank you to Linda you were most helpful,thank goodness you were there to help us when we were leaving! Can't say that for some other members of staff........ We ended up driving up to the hotel from the front, which was a bit of struggle, as the street was too tight. Perhaps, staff could mention that arriving from the back of hotel is much easier in advance. Noise early in morning (traffic and building works) Lack of signs in hotel. Lack of clear directions to Hotel (driving). Main reception is in an area that is not accessible by car, however the second reception is!. None. difficult to initially locate. Nothing. Dinner prices. Our room on the second floor had a bad moldy smell. the hotel design is all white and gold -- very Las Vegas. The air con and fridge didn't work in our room and they couldn't get it working. Decoration was bland white tiling throughout. Breakfasts were poor and a little unorganised however the breakfast terrace was lovely.. Breakfast poor and service Way to overpriced for what it was.
