We found the Hotel Pellegrino quite lovely, and the Rispoli family lived up to their friendly reputation, showing great pride and sincere warmth. The hotel can’t help but have an outstanding view of the quaint town of Praiano, as well as the Mediterranean Sea, since it’s set into the scenic cliffs of the Amalfi Coast. A great setting for a couple’s getaway. The rooms occupied by our party were spacious, compared to our Rome “4-star” hotel, with the Pellegrino offering romantic balconies over.
all reviews » From the moment you enter you are met with big smiles, real nice Italian hospitality and made to feel like a family member by Luigi and his family. Upon arrival we were treated to drinks and home-made lemon cake and ricotta cheese and pear cake, they were amazing. The hotel itself is hidden in greenery in the mountain and the hotel rooms have big balconies with some amazing views. We stayed in 2 nights and had dinner at the hotel restaurant located on the top floor, the food was delicious but w. What a splendid place! Luigi and his family are wonderful, hardworking hosts and make you feel right at home. They have turned Pellegrino into a top spot to stay and have more improvements in the works. We spent most of our time in Positano on a friend's recommendation, so when I realized that this hotel was not in Positano proper, I was a bit apprehensive. But there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that will take you on a 5 min ride to the Positano beach. Our room had an amazing veran. I hope to stay at Hotel Pellegrino again. The family that runs it really does welcome you as their guest and provide for your every need. The food is excellent and served with great attention. My room was simple but amazingly well maintained and clean - not a spot or smudge on anything. It had a large private balcony with a great view of the coast and the top-floor dining room has a large terrace overlooking that same scene. It has off-street parking under the hotel and they will park your . This was our first experience in Italy and our stay at Hotel Pellegrino was the perfect welcome. Luigi and his wife were absolutely the most gracious hosts. We felt apart of their family and were well taken care of. It was a true Italian experience and feel. The location is central to everything and the bus stop is practically right in front of the hotel. We had no problem getting around. One day, I was feeling under the weather and Luigi sent things up to the room to help ease my illness. . We confirm what other reviewers have said about this hotel; a great location overlooking the sea, very comfortable and well equiped room, a scenic restaurant serving excellent meals, and convenient onsite parking. The outstanding feature of Hotel Pellegrino is the thoughtfullness and asistance provided by Luigi and his family during our two day stay. This included provision of bus tickets and enjoyable conversation including advice about local areas, offers to pick us up if we got lost or stu. Great experience! First and foremost - Fantastic hospitality – the kind that makes your journey remembered for years. The owner, Luigi, a truly lovely person, will do everything to make your travel perfect. Will take you personally to great restaurants (no need to fight over nonexistent parking places), will give you great tips as for enjoying the area (including bus tickets and more) Hotel located in a very nice spot overlooking Priano Real parking (very rare in the area) so you don’t need . Amazing sea view and excellent breakfast and dinner at the restaurant! It's located in Praiano, far from the chaotic Positano and Amalfi which are easily reachable by bus. Due to driving in this area of the Amalfi coast, it was a blessing that the hotel had free garage to park the car :)!. The welcome and service at Hotel Pelligrino could not have been better. The owner and his family were more than willing to help in any way they could including driving guests to other towns and picking them up again if the bus service was awkward. The food was excellent, prepared and cooked on the premises. The breakfast was delicious and more than generous. The terraces and views are spectacular and ever changing. Our stay here was our favorite in our entire trip to Italy. The Pellegrinos treat you like family from the moment you arrive, when you have dinner, when you need to get around the Amalfi Coast, even when you leave. The hospitality was unbelievable. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, with views of the sea from the balconies. The food at this Pensione was among the very best we ate in all of our days in Italy!. The absolute best hosts. Luigi and Sandra were the best. We arrived later in the day so Luigi was a little disappointed we missed wine and cake. Two days later we made a point of joining them and we had three of the most delicious traditional cakes you can imagine. My husband and I loved the friendliness of all the staff, especially Luigi. He couldn't do enough for us - gave us directions, bus passes, advice. Our three nights at Hotel Pellegrino was definitely a high point of our trip to Italy. It was everything we hoped and much more. Praiano is a very good place to stay as it is central to all the other Amalfi towns. The town itself is long and thin, everywhere is a bit of a walk. The nearest beach to Pelligrino is small and often crowded and a long way down (400 steps) and the other beach in Priano is at the far end of the town. Hotel is located on a main road, which can be noisy at times. When the windows were shut, most noise was eliminated. That I am writing this review and others may find this gem and make it more difficult for us to return. Nothing. The hotel is walking distance to Praiano and the walk of the gods but to get to Positano you did need to take the bus (the stop is right in front of the hotel) or get a ride with Luigi, which made travelling there less inconvenient but it is about a 15min ride. The hotel is on the main road so it can get a bit busy. Everything was perfect ! I just ought to thanks Pellegrino Pensione this amazing experience I have ! I loved all. Nothing!. We have travelled all over the world and have never found a better place. everything was wonderful. Not much to not like. If pushed Id say the beautiful greenery attracted mosquitoes. Not the hotels fault just an area issue to be aware of. There was nothing about the hotel that we didn't like. Nothing to report. The road noise. Walls a bit thin. The visit was to short. The road was noisy. room was a little old, and balcony was not so clean.
