Besides the absolutely stunning views of the ocean and Positano, the hotel itself was gorgeous, clean, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The one guy who handled the pool area/bar, luggage to you room, etc, was outstanding. Constantly helping us with whatever we needed- drinks in hand, towels for the pool, reserving chairs at the pool, ordering snacks, etc, he genuinely seemed to care about the hotel as if it was his family staying there. We also lucked out and were given a free .

To the front desk staff at check out...all super super hospitable..!! They went out of their way to make me feel at home..!!! The location is perfect & just a short walk from the beach & shopping & restaurants ... In short.... Total value for money...& I'm definitely staying at the Marincanto next time I'm in Positano..!. We had a junior suite with sea view, was spacious and bright with lots of whites. Hotel Marincanto probably has the best views in Positano, from many spots of the hotel including the amazing pool and terrace. Restaurants and bars are a short 5-6minute walk, making this hotel a great location. Try Brunos restaurant, had lovely lunch there and not as pricey as most other restaurants and only 1-2 mins from hotel on the main road, sit outside and take in the breathtaking views!!. It was our first time in Positano and we booked Marincanto on the suggestion of our friends who stayed there several years ago. The front desk was especially helpful ensuring that we have a wonderful first visit by giving us a perfect upgraded room that will certainly remain in our minds and hearts forever. We would have no problem recommending it to any of our friends or family and look forward to coming back and staying there again in the the future. Amazing Positano location, with its own winding staircase down to the beach. We had a luxury suite which was too much room for a honeymoon couple, but a fantastic private terrace overlooking the sea. The dining terrace (breakfast, lunch, dinner) is amazing with amazing views. Plenty of other terraces with a pool, lawn chairs, etc, you don't even need to go to the beach. This was the best location. The location on a cliffside above beautiful Positano & the ocean. Every member of the staff are so kind & helpful, but especially Antonella & Enza on the reception desk.Even our standard room was enormous with a spa bath, comfortable bed plus nice local bath products. Breakfast was a huge buffet with different selections every day. Amazing dinners on the terrace. Very nice location above the positano main beach Very nice swimming pool although small but how can you make it bigger hooked to a cliff ! Nice and big rooms. We just stayed for 1 night and had a special price for a small room but it was very nice Breakfast is very good (although real orange juice could have been a good idea but no hotel does this on the amalfi coast !!). Hotel Marincanto surpassed our highest expectations.... Beautiful coastal setting, friendly staff, delicious food, prime location, gorgeous landscaping, private beach made our stay one we will never forget!!!! The best romantic getaway anyone could ask for!!! Just loved it ! Would stay there again and will recommend it to all our friends :). The hotel was very clean and perfectly located with a spectacular view. We were in walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in town. I highly recommend this hotel.... Food was excellent, rooms were clean and fresh towels twice a day! They organised rent a car, transfer, excursions making our stay very special. Staff were exceptional. Full of positive attitude and extremely helpful. There is definitely a feeling you are spending time in a 4* -5* hotel. Music on the Rock disco is accessible via steps down to the beach (3min walk). Oldtown is 5 min walk from the hotel. The room (standard double with part sea view) was very spacious, clean, comfortable. Staff friendly -Enza the receptionist on duty was exceptionally helpful in planning daily activities. Breakfast and dinner great. Terrace to sip a wine or eat on, beautiful. Fantastic views over Positano and a well organized Hotel. The breakfast setting was outstanding and all the staff were very good. We had a great room with a small balcony, it was fantastic just to sit there and soak up the sights and enjoy a glass of wine. Fabulous, huge rooms, an amazing view and the best pool in Positano. The hotel was fantastic and we loved the private staircase directly down to the beach. But what really made Hotel Marincanto extra special was the amazing staff. We will be back!. Nothing, everything was fabulous. There's absolutely nothing that I didn't like about my stay at Marincanto.. The shower was kind of cheap/plasticy and drain didn't work, even when we asked to have it fixed. They also didn't have the bottle of champagne waiting for us like I had requested, which resulted in an awkward second-request. There is nothing to not like!. Not much...maybe not to have tried one of the main big room with wonderful view over Positano. Very hard to find anything to fault other than a slight gripe re the size of the shower. As the hotel information says there are plenty of steps.. There is a porter to help with the luggage and a lift to road-side. Nothing. Everything was perfect. Nothing. The one-way system (with extremely narrow roads) meant that I drove past the hotel the first time and had to do another lap of the town in order to come back around! But this wasn't too problematic, and when I phoned the hotel to check location, Franco was on hand to guide me. Nothing. The breakfast was pretty simple, with no cooking station. Of the four hotels I visited in Rome, the only breakfast without an egg station or menu options. The food wasn't great. I'd definitely recommend staying there but venturing out for dinner and lunch. That we didn't even know of the private beach down below. Nothing!. They could improve their buffet breakfast a little. Nothing. I think the furniture let the rooms down a bit. multi flies/moths, leaking shower. Nothing :-). Cables hanging out of the wall taped up instead of working wall lights. Nothing!. None. Nothing. The bed was uncomfortable. There is a lack of parking, however thats everywhere in Positano. The location requires a great deal of walking - but is worth every step. many flies flying everywhere, esp the terrace for breakfast. Nothing!. only that the letsbookhotel.com site, described that the hotel had a gym, so I packed all my stuff only to discover that the gym, sauna and steam facilities have been closed. I still think the hotel is fabulous and would go again, but wont pack my gym kit... The bed was too hard for my back. The longe could be improved.
