1 - The host was very nice. 2 - Breakfast was huge with warmed milk, homemade jam, homebaked cakes and many other things to eat. 3 - The penthouse was beautifully decorated with a morning sunshine balcony, olive plants, flowers, looking over half of the city and even the leaning tower. It is also very close to the main walking road of Pisa. 4 - The room was newly upgraded with a nice bathroom. 5 - Everything in the room was very clean. The blanket was a down/feather one so it was warm at night.
all reviews » The service at B&B dei Cavalieri was welcoming and the value for money was very reasonable. The interior was cosy and styled perfectly to reflect Italy. The accommodation was within good walking distance from the train station, however, at first we found it difficult to find. On reflection I should have printed of the exterior picture to remember what it looked like. The breakfast was a fantastic spread. Located 5 minutes walk from the station and very handy to the main shopping street in Pisa, Corsa Italia. It is a lovely 6th floor apartment and the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The room was tastefully decorated and was very comfortable, with air-conditioning. We had an excellent continental breakfast and very much enjoyed our stayed at Dei Cavalieri. Clean. Only 5 mins walk to the train station and a nice leisurely 20min stroll to the leaning tower although we could have bus-ed. Staff were very helpful and informative. Although Maria did not speak much english, she tries her best to make you feel comfortable. Try the home made jams and coffee ! They are really good :). I were very happy in this hotel, it´s like be at home. People received you very kindly and they take care of every thing you could need. Arrived a day earlier, and as was on bicycle was put in an alternative B&B round the corner which had a secure area for leaving the bike. WiFi. Printed off Ryanair boarding card. This B&B is located at 5 min from Pisa Centrale railway station, very convenient if you arrive by plane or train. 20 min walk to Piazza dei Miracoli. The building has elevator. Very clean,welcoming, homey atmosphere. I would stay there again. Good location, right next to the station and also walking distance to the main sights. Hubby thought the room was too 'frilly' for him. The place do not have a sign easy to know it´s location. but since Pisa area´s is not large at the end you can find it. Located on the 6th floor, no facilities for bicycle storage. Better to check if alternative available. Difficulty arranging airport transfer as owner spoke very little English. Their employee was very helpful in translating. Nothing...it was great. 1. Rooms are not soundproof at all - ear plugs recommended :) 2. Small bathroom 3. Poor WiFi in the room (good reception in the common living room where the breakfast is served) 4. We had a problem confirming the late check-in which made us a bit nervous but everything was ok eventually. Towels could have been better. Instructions to find the place need improving, especially if you arrive after dark. A mention of the building being between the TIM store and the Volta...Bank would be sufficient. We walked from the train station, had the address and were right in front of the building but still had difficulty locating the B&B. A better description would help. It's difficult to find at first, but in fact the entrance is just to the right of the TIM Mobile shop. We had an attic room the first night and the steps were a bit hard to negotiate. Best parking was in a parking garage near the B&B, It would have helped if that information had been communicated ahead of time. Little difficult to find as it only has a small sign at the front entrance...look for the entrance between a Tim mobile store and a bank from volterra. Couldn't locate the B&B, no obvious signage, needed to ask a local person to help and they ended up having to phone and ask for us - late at night in the dark in a strange place it was not a good start to our break. The spiral staircase to the bedroom was so narrow and difficult to manage with a suitcase-- not very safe. The only aspect that was a little difficult was the rather narrow spiral staircase to the room we were sleeping in. It would have been difficult to find Dei Cavalieri on our own good to get collected from airport. small choice of products for breakfast, no vegetables. There is no sign on the building so it would very easy to see. As a B&B, the check-in time is not as flexible as hotel. You'd better to check in before 8.00 pm. nothing. She suggested that we eat at Pizzeria Nando and Ristorante La Buca both TERRIBLE! Almost ruined our visit to Pisa. Should try Gusto Giusto (it's delicious). bathroom small difficult to find small apartment bell in bank doorway. Small toilet. Nothing it was perfect for. Me all staff so catering and helpful it was delight to have homemade breakfast together at large table and hear other guests experience and advice can't wait to go back thank you. Cold shower because they could not turn it on because the person where the switch was was sleeping!! I was not told until later. Basic good breakfast without a skerick of fruit. 1. We were severely attacked by many BED BUGS. 2. Bed linen,coverlets and towels were not fresh. 3. Bathroom rug was filthy. 4. It was very noisily since early morning because the traffic outside.
