Padova Hotels

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night in August. Arriving from train station by foot was terrible as it is about a 30 minute walk around a deserted area. Not recomended at nights. Staff was friendly and upgraded us an executive room though we had booked a standard one. Room was amazing, it even included a separate dinning room. Bathroom spacious an bedroom was nice. Breakfast was algo pretty good. The downside is that it is too far from downtown and you NEED a cab to get the hotel at nights (10€ - Stewart

Excellent hotel! Will stay here again. I lived in Padova for about 13 years, and still come back to visit friends or for work, so I need a place to crash down, which is clean, comfortable and has a fair price. This hotel is one of the new hotels in Padova (I can tell you that 5-10 years ago there were only a few extremely expensive stuffed up hotels and loads of cheap and run down hotels) and it is certainly a nice surpirse. To be blunt self and my “Best half” stayed in 8 hotels in this Europe trip which we had gone around for around 18 days. Hotel NH Mantegna was the best hotel among the lot! The hotel dominates the area in respect to its height. That is the first observation when you see it. The space is quite a surprise, unlike European hotels with match box space in 4 or 5 stars- This hotel pleasantly shocks you from the reception area with its enormous space and continues to please you including the size of the - Anthony

We found this hotel a wonderful haven after a hectic day and arrived by train. I do think it would be helpful to get a map of the area before trying to find the hotel. The Rick Steves' directions were not so helpful. Staff were helpful and kind. We also enjoyed a nice complimentary breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer as we were only here for the one night. Room was clean and pleasant. The air conditioning was perfect. The key card for our room could have worked better-- we fought with it - John

Although we had a GPS in our rental car it took a little effort to find the Crowne Plaza, Padua. This new, modern hotel is situated outside of thehistoric city of Paudua but if one has a car for touring this is no problem. Our room was typical Crowne Plaza - large, modern and well-maintained with the ameniites and features we expected from this chain. We like a comfortable king size bed, a bathtub and generous, fluffy towels - the hotel supplied all of these. We had a few language problem - Vincent

Unlike other Sheratons, this one is more like a motel in the middle of a highway or traffic island. Its small but clean and comfortable. Nothing much to write about the food. Rooms are hygenic but the roadside highway noise filters in. Ok to use as a base for a quick trip to Venice. - Elizabeth

The Hotel Galileo Padova, has a good location, very friendly and assisting staff, modern clean rooms (built 2007), good room rates a a great breakfast to get you started. Easy access to down town (90c bus ticket - buy packages of 11 at the Tabaconists for 10 Euros). Padova is a great vist for 2 - 3 days of walking, sight seeing and very few tourists. An Italian town that lives. Internet 5 Euros for 24 hours use. Eat at the Breks resturant in town, very reasonable prices and excellant food - Hao
