The hotel location is just great. we really enjoyed the stay here. the hotel even offers us free bikes to the castle. that's just nice. however, the owner of the hotel is not that hospitality. maybe she cannot speak English very fluently. the turkish spa is not open after 730 and the TV in the room cannot watch football match. we have to go downstairs in the bar for the match. After having spent time in Rome and the mountains of Italy, Naples is completely different. It's more dirty than the other cities we visited in Italy but the people are very warm and welcoming. Heed the warnings and do not travel with expensive jewelry. The scenery from the windows with a view of the port are beautiful.
all reviews » The bedrooms are well suited for the design of the place. Very helpful staff. You are in a good part of Napoli. Be careful there are very bad areas around. Try to find a restaurant away from the sea front. They are way over priced and we found poor quality. Look for the ones busy with locals. Our bedroom had a lovely decor, big with usual coloured funky lighting in the bathroom, view overlooking the Med. ocean from side of window which was nice. Close enough to shopping area but far enough away from noise. Staff had good English and helpful when needed. Wonderful hospitality and helpfulness of Francesca the Receptionist, beautiful rooms, cozy atmosphere, great view of the sea and mount Vesuvius, high speed internet, great facilities... We enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Relais sul Mare in Naples. The location of this well appointed Bed & Breakfast is excellent, very efficient and friendly staff. Great waterfront position. Francesca and Valentina at the reception are very fair and supportive. Good continental breakfast. Spacious rooms. Loved the dis o shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was fantastic and Francesca a great host. The view of Mt Vesuvius is breathtaking. good buffet breakfast, large well decorated rooms with sea views, close to the hydrofoil ( to go to capri / anacapri ), friendly staff. The breakfast was strange as you went in to the hall way selected what you want from a continental style breakfast then went back to your room to eat. There is no separate eating area. No tea/coffee facilities in room, but did have breakfast bar in reception area when needed. Wifi slow. Hotel Entrance... Towels in the bathroom are not at the level of everything else. Cold shower at 8am. No hot water. Wifi signal very weak had to stand near door. Not having a bath. Access to accommodation is not clear and obvious. 1- Breakfast area at the front of rooms. If someone makes breakfast; noise comes to rooms. 2- There is not someone at reseption during night. There should be someone at reception 24 hours. Nothing. Breakfast options limited. Need more prominent signage. There was no spa as advertised. Disappointing. Only one bike available. Towels lacking and poor quality. Breakfast advertised for 7.30 but not ready till 7.45/8am. Access. Entry into building was very confusing. Not very good signage to direct guests. Construction was going on near the check in area. Poor breakfast. terrible night spent with loud music playing outside our window until late in the morning, the advertised breakfast was ridiculously bad, no hot water in afternoon to shower, tiny lift to get to second floor - barely fit our luggage,. This is not a hotel but more of a bed and breakfast. letsbookhotel.com has this listed as a hotel and I believe this is false advertisement!.
