Hotel New Salus is located in a northern suburb of Milan, 20 metres from Affori Centro Metro Station, on Milan's yellow line. Rooms are on the first floor, and most come with private bathroom. The rooms are large and feature an LCD TV, a cooling fan, and central heating. There is a free internet point in the lobby. The New Salus is a 15-minute metro ride from Milano Centrale Train Station. Reception is open 24 hours a day. The Arciboldi and La Scala theatres are close to the hotel, which is also linked with San Siro Stadium and Milan Trade Fair.

Price. This hotel is past it sell-by date but the only other hotel available in the area was a 5 star. Having said that, I cannot fault its cleanliness with sheets and towels being changed every day.The staff were friendly. The hotel itself was good, but the area where it is situated is not very nice. Not all the staff of the hotel speaks English.The price was not worth the quality. The hotel was very far from theCentral Station or any Metro station. You have to go there by bus fromthe nearest Metro station and get off at the 6th stop. The area is likean urban slum.

Hotel Salus is situated in the Northern area of Milan known as Affori. The hotel has 21 rooms (single, double and triple) and facilities on the first floor; the reception is located at ground floor. The hotel is run by its owners and professional staff. Small size pets allowed, no-smoking rooms available, reception 24 hours; moreover the staff will be happy to provide you with useful information needed, not only to visit the city, suggesting interesting sites, but best restaurants, and nightlife events as well. All rooms have color tv, telephone, fan, heating, wide windows and balconies.
At the reception guests can find international newspapers.

Travelling information

By Train:
From the Central Station:
Take the yellow underground to the Maciachini stop (3rd and final stop). Then take bus number 70 (Bruzzano), 52 (Comasina) or 41 (Bovisasca) for 5 stops - ask the driver for Via Pellegrino Rossi.

By Plane:
From Milan Malpensa airport:
- Take 'Malpensa Express' train, leaving every 30 minutes, to Bovisa station. The hotel is 1.5 km from the station and can be reached by taxi.

By Car:
- Take the Tangenziale Est in the direction of Venezia, and follow the signs for Torino.
- Exit at Cormano and follow the signs for Milan (be careful not to follow the signs for Cormano/Bresso).
- Drive straight on, pass the traffic lights and continue to Via Rubicone.
- After approximately 500 metres, go over the bridge in the direction of Bruzzano-Affori.
- At the traffic lights, turn right in the direction of Affori.
- Continue straight on to the 2nd traffic lights and turn left into Via Astesani.
- Continue until you reach Via Pellegrino Rossi.
