I had a few problems before leaving my country, but Stefano, who runs the hotel, was so courteous and understanding, that it was a pleasure to do business with him. There was easy access to the heart of Ostia Lido and other areas in th - The ability to chill on the balcony with prosecco and nibbles purchased from the supermarket we passed walking back from the train station after a busy few hours in Roma. Train takes 30 mins and the ticket 1.5 Euro taking you anywhere in Rome, We will definitely return when we need a Rome fix, choosing to stay in Ostia fir the chill.

  The friendly atmosphere of the staff. Everybody helped me all the time. If you desire to be at the beach, it's very close to all the private and public beaches. Convenient also if you want to take the bus and go to Rome. I was lucky that I had friends that came to pick me up with their car. Be patient about traffic if you come from Canada. Would probably be d - Stayed there for one night and everything was fine. Had a room on the second floor of the building to the right (not the one where the reception is). A window in the room was facing the wall of the building with the reception, but there also was a small balcony, so I was able to see a part of the see from it. WiFi worked fine (had good video connectivity via Skype). Generally, Lido di Ostia is very good option for beach leisure, for traveling to Rome (40mins by suburban train/metro for 1.50euro
