I just spent two nights at the Hotel Tizi. I had a very enjoyable stay. It took me just 5 mins to get to Termini from the hotel. The area is too secure what was highly important for me.

Little bit far from the metro (Repubblica app. 10min on foot, Barberini - 15 min on foot) and for Rome it's ok cause it's always nice to walk in such a beautiful city. Breakfast simple but also good and enough (if you used to eat something more substantial just buy some cheese/prosciutto/eggs in the nearest grocery).
In this nice small hotel you'll find everything you want to cook (all pots&pans, even some oils..).

You couldn't get a better location than this apartment.
It was one street from The Trevi Fountain and all the restaurants, but not on the main square, so nice and quiet. It was walking distance to most of Rome's attractions.
