This hotel is only 2-3 blocks from the coliseum, as well as the colosseo metro stop.   We were greeted by a very friendly and funny guy named roberto. He was very funny and cheeky in a good way with jokes! He checked us in and gave us very detailed info bout the city. We were given a huge triple room with a nice balcony. Very very clean and absolutely comfortable. Memory foam mattress is a big plus point. My friend and I had problem... what people say » waking up in the morning due to that mattress. I think the room in general is quite soundproof. I didnt hear any other noise, maybe we were too tired - Perfect localization. Good price. Confortable rooms.

  Small boutique hotel with Italian Renaissance decor. Updated bathrooms, though small by American standards, had many unique features not usually seen in hotels in the usa. The owner, Roberto, is professional and takes great pride in the attention to the details of the hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Very near top attractions and local cafés. I ... what people say » have stayed there 5 times over the last 5 years, and appreciate the unique and lush appearance of the hotel, but if you are into large spaces and cont - Our host Roberto, his wife and the staff were welcoming and took extra care of our needs. We booked two single rooms and sometimes in the past we have been allocated tiny, substandard rooms. The rooms at the Celio were charming, clean and the location between the Colosseo and Laterano was fabulous. This was the first time we have ventured out of the Trevi/Tritone area. (We go to Rome each year over past 15 years and this experience was one of our most enjoyable. Grazie Roberto!!
