Probably the nicest place my girlfriend and I stayed at during our trip
through Italy. (Admittedly, we were traveling on a budget and mostly
renting through airbnb.) This is a true B&B, with Massimo and his
wife coming in the morning to make us coffee. They were very friendly,
telling us to make ourselves at home and opening up the various cakes
and pastries in the kitchen. Venice is expensive, but Ca' Santo
Spirito was fairly good value for city.

Fantastic location (5-10 minutes to St Marco Square) and super friendly and helpful staff. Mario happily greeted us for a very late 11:30 PM check-in when our flight was delayed. For the price, it had just about everything. The shower room was spacious and well heated; the bedroom was fine; the breakfast room served a good range of food (although the bread was dry on one morning of our 4-day stay); the location was well-nigh perfect. Being able to store baggage after checking out was a boon.

Easy to get to, we found the place very easy as it was near the vaporatto stop. There is a really good map on the website that shows a red line of the path you should take to get there.
Very convenient as it is close to everything.
The internet worked well for the most part.
Breakfast was pretty basic but gave us a nice start to the day. -

Carlo was fabulous-- we discovered a problem with our airline tickets at the airport which meant an additional night in Venice (even though we'd already checked out of the hotel that morning), Carlo graciously said he he could put us up for the night saying, "it will be nice to visit with you again." He was also helpful with finding an open pharmacy on a Sunday and answering our many questions.
