  The hotel was new, fresh and clean. The location was perfect for the old port area in Genua and the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a typical American continental breakfast -- in other words quite boring, but that is the only complaint we have. - Right in de middle of the centre.

  The staff were really really great!!! They allowed us to store our bags with them for 3 days while we travelled to the Cinque Terre. They were really helpful in advising us things to do in Genoa and places to go for dinner (the rec for Soho was great! Probably the best meal we had!) It's a typical European room (i.e., small bedroom, small bathroom... what people say » ), but it had AC (which was necessary) and the hotel is in a great location, only a minute to Via Garibaldi and 5 or so mins to Piazza de Ferrari and - The hotel's central location in Genoa was its biggest benefit. Walking distance from the main train station, and very accessible to all that the old city of Genoa has to offer. Plenty of food options close by, as well as the funicular to the surrounding areas. The quirky retro feel of the hotel with original art was a pleasant surprise. It was extremely clean and all staff/owners very polite and helpful.

  We actually stayed at their sister hotel,Hotel Savoia, next door as Hotel Continental was under renovations. This was a 4-5 star hotel priced much lower. We will definitely stay there again. I normally not writing reviews after my holidays (only if it was really bad or excellent... ) but this hotel and all his staff are deserved a lot more than my words!! Congratulation!
