  I adored this hotel. From the moment we booked we received conformation emails from the owners, and then nearer the time, further emails to check if we required a taxi -- which we did and everything was booked and made simple for us. We we arrived the staff were ever so friendly. They gave us information about where we were and the nearest "big at... what people say » tractions" if you will. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The room was pretty classic, it won't blow your mind but lets be honest -- if you're - The staff at Locanda Colossea was excellent. They were extremely helpful, and it was great to actually have someone at the front desk during the day. Our room was very comfortable, and the staff even gave us a bottle of wine from the family vineyard (which was a very good wine!). The location was also very good, just minutes from the Colosseum and the Forum. The breakfast was served at a cafe two doors down, and there were several choices including eggs.   The room was impeccably clean! We stayed 7 nights and each day we returned to the room after a long day of sightseeing, the room was perfectly cleaned, bed made, fresh towels. Every morning breakfast was delivered to our room. Even though our room faced busy Via Cavour, the heavy doors for the windows cut out all street noise and every shred of... what people say » daylight, so we were able to sleep soundly and not be woken until our alarm clock went off. We never heard noise from the adjacent rooms, except whe - Fantastic central location - 1 min walk to Forum. Lots of good bars and restaurants within 2 mins walk. Hotel owner was a lovely, elderly lady who couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful (she even gave us a wake up call at 04:15 on day of departure and ordered taxi transfer to Termini for us).
