I was traveling solo and wanted a well situated accomodation conveniently located and safe. Four Rivers certainly met my needs. I would really recommend Four Rivers as it was in a fantastic location and the staff were brilliant. It was within easy walking distance to all the major sites and luckily for me there was a close by taxi rank, which was helpful, as I was unfortunately on crutches during my stay. Piazza Navona was round the corner and Pantheon 5 minutes more. Campo Di Fiore was across the street and great for food in the evening. Dominico and Andrea couldn't have been more helpful at the desk - even allowing us

Guilia Townhouse is a great place to stay when visiting Rome. It is literally right in the middle of everything. A very personal hotel with "family feeling". Excellent location; perfect to be able to walk to all sights in the day and then just cross the bridge to have dinner in Trastevere in the evening. Very friendly people that were both very welcoming, helpful and keen to make sure we had a nice stay. One thing we really appreciated who travelled in December is also the heating and comfort of the place. I've been staying in many places in Italy where it's been cold inside in that time of the year. Hotel Clarisse is lovely. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable.
However it's the staff that make it a great hotel. They go out of

feel welcome. Sergio in particular was wonderful to us. He told us about
an amazing local restaurant, found last minute tour to the Vatican, and... what people say »

The hotel staff were all very nice and extremely helpful. They assisted with setting up tours and transportation. They even packed our breakfast to go, since our tour departed before the restaurant opened. We didn't spend much time in the room other than to shower and sleep, but the rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning (August!) and doors that opened to the courtyard. We were able to walk to many of the major sites. It was lovely.

When I asked some questions, they gave me more than I expected. The location was just around Navona where local people came and enjoyed restaurants and bars!
