The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was unique and charming since it was a castle. The scenery was beautiful. Excellent Service, very good location, beautiful room, great atmosphere,good breakfast, good value for money. This was one of the most beautiful places that Ive ever styed at. It is a good 4-star hotel set in beautiful gardens. The service and staff were excellent. Rooms - at least ours! - were small but tidy. Beware that the beds are very hard and the pillows are as well! Had diner in the restaurant. Very, very good with a fine selection of wine. The room was lovely and breakfast was wonderful, swimming pool is good. pool. The Castello gardens are beautiful, sadly it was raining so we were unable to fully appreciate them.Magnificent building in a fantastic setting. Great views. Nice pool. The hotel is too far from the train station to walk and there are no pay phones at the train station to call for the hotel to send a shuttle. We didn't know this until after we got there so I had to walk to a nearby shop where the owner was nice enough to call the hotel for me.We couldn't get late check out though the hotel was not fully booked. It was a little out of the way to get to, but worth it. If you are traveling there, take the train and then have the hotel pick you up by shuttle. A cab cost over 40 euros to drive 10 miles.It is out of the way and did not offer an airport shuttle. Our friends found the dinner menu lacking and not very appetitizing. Only minor point is that the bar closed at 11:30PM. Also it is extremely difficult to find.Directions to the hotel. There is no free internet access -the costs are around €3 per hour. Although there is a suttle service to the station, the hotel is quite isolated, so I wouldn't recommend it to folk without a car.if the shuttle doesn't run at the time you need getting a taxi is very expensive. We had trouble finding the hotel, however we took the wrong exit off the gra which didn't help.Staff officious and unfriendly. Promised shuttle bus into rome was onlyto the station and the day we wanted to use it there was a train strike!Bar service very poor.
