Short/ bus ride to city center. - The facilities offered were excellent. The apartments were 200m down from a large supermarket, so cooking in the apartment was made easy. The apartment is not close to the centre of Florence but is easily accessible by bus number 22 from the train station and centre of Florence (about 15-20 mins on the bus). If taking the bus there ring ahead and ask the staff exactly where to get off!

  We had a wonderful 4-days stay at the charming and elegant Villa Lucrezia!!!. We loved it !!! The apartment is big and extremely comfortable with seperate bedroom, big and comfortable kitchen and big h - We were a group of seven and were in two apartments. Both had full kitchens with refrigerators & microwaves, large bedrooms, ample relaxed seating, and nice bathrooms with large showers. The location was excellent with bus stops across the road which could take and return us to Florence in about 10-minutes. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very good. Finally, the price was fantastic, especially for what was included.

  We were impressed by maps and useful information of the city given after checking in at the hotel by a hotel staff. The hotel is few steps of walk to Duomo. To our knowledge, there aren't many public toilets available in Florence. The owner Clara is a fantastic host and was very helpful with everything we needed including organising us tickets to skip the long lines to all the museums that we wanted to see.   I can't say enough about the Orlando Palace Apartments. First, they are actually apartments. You have a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and full kitchen. There's even a dishwasher and washing machine! Everything was spotless, and the keyed entry pad into the building was wonderful- no extra keys to carry around.   The staff is WONDERFUL, kind and helpful. The location is perfect, It was quiet at night, but still very close to all the action. There was a living room area just off my room where you could meet up with other travelers -with a small fridge. Breakfast started my day perfectly, in a bright and lively dining room with a delicious cup of cappuccin... what people say » o (and pastry with Nutella!- yum!) I will return to La Cittadella on my next trip and highly recommend it to anyone else visiting Florence. The owner - The hotel is lovely. The room is warm and spacious. The bathroom is big and also has a heater. The desk staffs Teresa and the other guy are very helpful. The hotel is very secured, about 4 locks before you can enter. The lift is reliable. It is also 20 meters away from the bus stop Guido Monaco where you can easily take buses to Sta. Maria Novella and other destinations. There is also a Turkish restaurant and various cafes 20 meters away from the hotel and a Tabacchi store by the bus stop.

  The location is fabulous, centrally located and near to nearly everything you would want to see in Florence. We visited with our 8 and 5 year olds and they loved the carousel, pastry shops, and activity on the Plaza, which is right outside of the door. The Duomo is just a skip away. The main room was a little more crowded, but the two single beds wo - The location is unbeatable, right in the centre of Florence and yet an easily walkable distance from smn station. The apartment was spacious for 2 people (my 11 yr old granddaughter and me). Having to go first to Hotel Lanzi did not present a problem for us and I particularly liked the fact that, having paid for the flat when we first arrived, we were not required to return to the hotel at check out - we were told to just leave the key device on the kitchen table.
