air conditioning, the size of the room, the breakfast was sufficient, the location. Great price for a great hotel. The location is really ideal. It was very close to the train station so we were able to walk with our luggage and not feel overwhelmed or frustrated. The room itself was basic but nice and clean and we did have a balcony so that was fun. We were able to walk to all the major stops and when we didn't feel like walking the buses were right around the corner. For the money, this was a great place.
all reviews » i just loved the room. it was so italian style, we had a balcony (there was lemon tree under it), bathroom was clean, it was warm (not like the other hotels we stayed at), beds were comfy. and the most important thing is that the hotel is located only 50m from central station :). The view was breathtaking; we had a sort of tower room and could see the entire city centre since there were windows on all four sides!. The hotel was very good located in the centre of the city, very clean and beautiful rooms. Access to centre of Florence and train station. Very helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Extremely convenient and as another reviewer said “quaint”. Charming staff.Location was perfect as we arrived and departed from Florence by trainand station was so close as well as city centre nearby. Close to centre. The location. The only frustrating part was that we went to the 4th floor as indicated but check in was on the 2nd floor, but there was no signage on the 2nd floor to indicate that. We just figured it out. but, the staff was wonderful and helped us make reservations around town for restaurants and stuff.There was quite a lot of noise at night. after a long trip to then take bags up to forth floor only to find a sign saying go to floor two to book in was infuriating. Why not a sign at the bottom? Tea and coffee facilities would have been welcome. No air conditioning so might be uncomfortable in the summer. Check-in system was a bit confusing as this hotel is located on the 4thfloor and we took an elavator up there, but on the doors it said that wehave to check-in on 2nd floor at the check-in desk for another hotel sowe had to go down again. It's not a big problem and probably was becausehotel was not very busy. the room was really hot, we took economy and therefore there were only ventilators, the bathroom was pretty small, ... but the beds and towels were cleaned every day...and in general-the price/quallity aspect is very positive...On the 4th floor, lift not very reliable.... The shower wasn't that good because the water didn't run properly. mosquitos. 1.The hotel is difficult to find by public transport. The bus doesn't go from the station, we catched it on the way as the driver was very kind to stop. 2.It is not as convenient for the airport as I thought. Taxi is the only way and it costs 19 EUR for 15 mins drive. 3. The room was OK, but smoky.The shower was tiny.No space to move at all. 4 flights of stairs up - reception at other hotel in same building.The bathroom was outside the room and the shower was without curtain, so the water went out from it to the floor. Then, of course the floor was wet, which is unpleasant and dangerous. When I required a curtain, I was told that it is inpossible, because a big part of the staff is on vacation, and there is nobody to bring a curtain. They gave us towels to put on the floor instead of that. The most serious problem is there are some chairs in front of room and many peope, boys and girls are talking there until late time. We can not sleep because of the noise. It was terrible.
