Palazzo Alfani was perfect, a beautiful apartment with everything we needed, local hints and restaurant recommendations. We had a huge apartment, with separate bedroom with afresco ceiling, lovely shower and bathroom, and really well equipped kitchen and living area with enough basic essentials to get you started. Wifi was ok, bit slow sometimes but very useable. The restaurants we were recommended were all top notch, just a shame we only had 4 days, we highly recommend.

Great location as it is very central and within walking distance to many tourists attraction. Right opposite to LE ACADEMIA , Francesca was wonderful and helpful in every way. we will strongly recommend Palazzo Alfani al David and we are already planning on our next trip to Florence and intend to stay there again. I loved everything about this apartment. The location could not be beaten, just a short walk to the Duomo. The owners are delightful, even calling me whilst i was enroute to reassure me of my reservation as I hadn't confirmed as was requested. The apartment was lovely and provided all the necessary amenities. Everything was to a high standard. I couldn't fault it. Francesca was delightful and very helpful with maps of the city and a guide book. The apartment is a renovated classic Florence palazzo. Wonderful decorations, great spaces and a full kitchen. If you don't like a hard bed, which i do, it may be an issue for you. You have to climb stairs. Bed hard for my wife. First night was slightly noisy but the owner, Francesca, was very professional and resolved the matter quickly. Perhaps the kitchen was a little on the small side with limited work top space for food preparation. Printed instructions on the recycling system with the three bins. It's too easy to forget which is which. We want to do our part, our sorting system is different. Poorish Internet, noisy at night.

- Exit the motorway at Firenze Sud.

- On arrival at Piazza San Marco, turn left at the traffic light and veer left along the square.
- Take a right turn into Via Ricasoli.
- The Palazzo Alfani is no.49 and is directly opposite the Accademia Gallery.

From Milan:
- Exit the motorway at Firenze Nord.
- Drive towards Fortezza da Basso.
- Follow directions to the Piazza della Libertà, then, as above.
