This is a delightful property. It s an old water mill that has been lovingly and tastefully restored and is now a superb boutique hotel on the banks of the river very close to Florence. The atmosphere and ambiance of this property is supplemented by the wonderful art pieces, the furniture, as well as displays of the machinery, workings and drawings of the old working mill. The hotel itself was the most beautiful I have ever stayed in (the location and vistas, the gorgeous building and the decoration) but it was also the best staffed. Hotel staff can be friendly or they can be enjoyable - the people working at hotel mulino seem to be happy and enjoy their work and enjoy making guests stay's pleasant. That was so apparent and wonderful. The continental breakfast was the most elaborate breakfast I ha. Absolutely everything. This was probably the nicest hotel that we have ever stayed at. It had impeccable design and layout in every respect. Gorgeous rooms with beamed ceilings, classical antique touches, luxurious bathrooms with oversized jacuzzi baths, towel warmers, marbled walls, etc. The restaurant provided an amazing breakfast spread with excellent food and more choices than you could believe. Dinner at the restaurant was equally impressive. The staff was very friendly & helpful. My husband and I wanted to spend the weekend in Florence and initially wanted to stay in the center of the city. After finding out there was virtually no long-term parking available at a reasonable price we decided to try Romantik Hotel Mulino Di Firenze. We were delighted by the warm and friendly service, beautiful room and absolutely amazing bathroom. The views are spectacular and at one point I questioned whether I was in a romantic movie set. We did drive into the city and were l. This is an unusual hotel, having been converted from a large watermill. No expense has been spared in making the Mulino Di Firenze a fabulous place to stay. We had a beautiful room with a view of the river. The food in the restaurant was superb, and nothing was too much trouble for the chef if you wished a slight variation of a menu item. The restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive, which overrall ensured a wonderful dining experience. The wine list was comprehensive and reasonable va. Beds are very comfortable .Quiet location along waterfall . We went every day, during our 3 nights stay , by bike from the hotel to downtown Florence. Free bike rental and relaxing trip of only 20 minutes along Arno river. Breakfast , lunch and dinner recommendable and price/quality ratio is ok by international standards. Safe . I traveled alone, but met two other couples/friends there. I was impressed that the hotel offered a room for a single person (twin bed) that still afforded such luxury. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It is located about a 40 minute walk from the centre of town, though boasts a free shuttle bus and also offers free bikes should you wish to ride. A cab would cost about €15 or there is a public bus for €2. The hotel is located on the main river and has a wonderful pool and breakfast. If you are looking to relax and also take in the sites of Florence, then this is your hotel. It is also very well priced. The staff are extremely helpful too. Yes, the hotel is a luxury stay, but figure in the free parking and the amazing breakfast, and you will be patting yourself on the back as you look over the beautiful Florence skyline!. This is true only during high season. One can take a bus a few hundred meters from the hotel but the service does not extend far into the evening. Nothing. Everything excellent. To fit the outside design, the windows of the rooms are a little bit small. Standard rooms have no view on Arno river. Next time we will be happy to pay more for room with river Arno view!. While the secretive roads to the hotel are very romantic, and well off the beaten path...they limit your ability to walk to get many places nearby, requiring a cab ride to get most places if its outside of the schedule of the free shuttle. The best bourbon they have in Florence appears to be Jack Daniels and runs $13 us dollars a glass at the hotel. Invest $21 us dollars at the Supermarket for a bottle that will last you. Emilio will gladly bring you Ice in a glass tip or no tip. I can't say one thing negative!. The hotel is not in the center of town. You must take a taxi or bus, but the positives so far outweigh this one negative! Dont let this stop you from trying this lovely, unique stop in Tuscany. Absolutely nothing!. Nothing. My room (#110) & bathroom small; desperately in need of a balcony to appreciate the magnificent views. Erratic wi-fi; mostly non-existent in room. Mosquitos need attention!!!. Little far from city but shuttle bus (free) was good and timely. I ordered the same dish (home made pasta prawn) which was so so good the first time and the second time I ordered the same dish, it was a disaster..same dish and taste totally awful. Probably not the same chef. nothing. Not easy to find and the shuttle service is only twice a day in low season. Can't think of anything!. The hotel is a little far, secluded, from the center of Florence. It is almost impossible to walk to it from the city center. I'd only recommend taking a taxi to get there. However, shuttles to the city center are provided with reservation during the day and the afternoon free of charge. The spa is only a Turkish bath and sauna, not a fully equipped spa. The bar is opened till midnight, but even though there is not service all the time and you have to call someone and wait. But bartender Emilio is very nice person, polite, friendly and provides great service. Nothing to say. Shuttle does not pick up in Florence past 7:30! But taxis are cheap. Also we used to GPS to find the hotel; be aware that it takes you to a place that is not the exact address; you must continue on further, making a right down a very narrow walled lane. That's not a complaint; just an advisory. Could only access wifi outside of room. A bit hard to find, primarily because it's on a one-way road, and you have to go the long-way around to get to the hotel. Our GPS did not even recognize the street address. The only other quibble is that because of the stone floors, it tends to be noisy when cleaning staff is working in the corridors or neighbouring rooms. Nothing. Shuttle stops to early in the evening. The cycles were not very well maintained. Free Shuttle bus service is limited in frequency and the last bus from downton is 17:30. It would have been much better if the return time was later. Limited shuttle. Poor directions to hotel. The hotel was expensive and overpriced. It is far from Florence and the bus can only be booked in advance. The restaurant was expensive for what you get with not much atmosphere. The room was beside a road which was loud with passing cars. it was pricey but it was a treat so we didn't mind paying it. I doubt we would be able to stay there again unless we won the lottery. I thought the food was a little pricey and would have liked more variety in the breakfast offering. The rooms are very small for family with children. We have to change and upgrade to suite room. the location is quite isolated. you can go no where by walking.
