Fantastic hotel, absolutely unique. Great staff, fabulous rooms, romantic view, and wonderful service.

I wouldn't recommend it for a family with children. Also, it is a bit far from the city center.

Stunning, beautiful property and location. Very helpful, informative staff. Lovely gardens and grounds.

Slightly disappointed with food. A Michelin star restaurant would not be out of place here, indeed would further augment a great hotel. We had a very average lunch and decided dinner out would be a better option - recommendation by staff for a local alternative was excellent.

The hotel is a delight and our garden room was more than we had expected. The hotel staff were simply magnificent and were always looking to help us with, for example, directions for days out of Florence, booking train tickets to Rome and restaurant reservations. The service in the restaurant was excellent and the serving of drinks and aperitivo in the library was a nice touch..

It was hard to find anything to not like at Il Salviationo ! We did suggest that the tables for two in the restaurant could be set differently - instead of having guests sitting opposite each other, we prefer to sit at right angles (more intimate and easier to have a conversation without feeling the need to speak loudly). We were happy to see that they agreed with this since some of the table settings changed after we made this comment !!

The staff was excellent. The building is beautiful and incredibly well restored while keeping a very traditional touch. The location is great, just outside of the city with wonderful views of Florence which is easily accessible via a short shuttle ride provided by the hotel

There are many 5 stars hotels in Florence. Il Salviatino is definitly the most special of them all. It's comfort, beauty, luxury, perfect location, and hospitality goes beyond any other experience. We stayed three nights there and longed to stay much longer. A full sunday spent in the hotel and surroundings was very special and something that no other luxury hotel offers. Do yourself and your compagnions a favour, go nowhere else but to Il Salviatino if you are in Florence
