What people say
Overall a good welcome, helpful reception staff who offered us a choice of rooms on arrival. Comfortable accommodation, well kept and clean. Good location. Breakfast was good in next door restaurant, although basic.
Most of the staff spoke English which helped. Two in particular were
very helpful arranging for early check in and early check out, cab to
the airport at 5 am etc. Had a blow dryer in bathroom.all reviews »
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Good basic breakfast offered.
Good location and very friendly staff))).
The location was very convenient, very close to the train station and just a walk down to the other tourist attractions with lots of restaurants around.
The location which was close to train, buses and the centre attractions.
The restaurant for dinner.
Hotel is near the city center and the price was good.
Fairly central location.
Location.
There is one good thing to say about Hotel Veneto: it's location. In 10 minutes you can be at centre of Florence.
the hotel is central and the room was quiet. the staff were quite friendly!.
The location was good. Very close to train station and tourist sites.
Just 400-500 from the cathedral and thats it.
Nothing.
WiFi signal poor. Lack of English Language TV channel(s) mainly for news.
Rooms were a little tight but typical for Europe. Had to stand
straddling the bidet to shave....
Wifi frustrating- poor signal. Also, there were mosquitoes, though not sure the hotel can do anything about that except perhaps screens would be useful.
There was an odor from the bathroom and it was difficult to keep the floor dry with the setup of the shower. Also lots of mosquitoes! The rooms are quite bare and rough in appearance. Don't expect much.
The walls are paper thin and you could hear everything going on around you. Even people using the bathroom.
The breakfast provided was bread rolls or 2 choices of cereal. The had coffee and a selection of tea(except just normal black tea)
My hot water didn't work but after speaking with reception within 20 minutes it was fixed - it might have been an issue because it was still in renovation mode.
Room and bathroom are very small. There could be more furniture for storing clothes and shelters on the bathroom.
Wifi is really bad, most part of the day I could not connect to it (to much users at the same time probably).
Due to some problems with credit cards I had to pay in cash.
Steep stairs and no lift for people with luggage.
Breakfast.
The staff is not the best actually. They seem nice at first, but they are not really interested in solving any problems. The room was not clean, we could found hairs on the floor. I asked them to clean it again, but it didn't happen. The breakfast is really really poor. The wifi doesn't work that well.
We have been in three different hotels in Italy. This was the most expensive and also the worst. In a few words: run away from Veneto.
the hotel was is a state of construction :( the breakfast was extremely poor for a restaurant. was rather squallid!.
The doors and walls were not insullated and noise came up the steps and travelled. Also you could hear every time someone came up the stairs or down the hall. If you are looking to sleep, I would not recommend this hotel. Even with earplugs (which I used) it was impossible!.
Well my room couldn't actually be called a room. The bathroom it
less than small and the bidé it's installed over the W.C.It was some
kind of a storehouse that has been changed into a room. I do not
recommand this hotel to anyone at all. I waited 15 mins to give the
keyroom to the staff. Breakfast had only cheap food. It is by far the
worst hotel I ever stayed to and I am travelling a lot lately.
Everything.
