The staff members were very helpful and speak good English. Before we even asked they offered us a city map and a list of opening hours of all museums/galleries. It's apparently a family run hotel and the owners're proud of their town. Great location, we could see the Medici Chapel from our window. Restaurants/ bars on the street so very convenient. The noise from the street wouldn't be a problem as the rooms feature three layers of windows, each of them double glazed, very impressive insulatio.

We asked for a room facing the courtyard/cathedral during booking after seeing a review on letsbookhotel.com, and the hotel gave us a room on the top most floor with the best possible view :) Air conditioned room with soundproof windows. Breakfast is definitely worth the money for 5 euros per person. Laundromat and mini supermarket on same street. Good strong wifi. great location- 10/15 minutes walking to the central train station. owner/manager at front desk was very helpful to help us find our way around town, and to help us find a bank! great little bar below the hotel that offers a happy hour of free food along with some 5.00 glass of wine. you don't find too many places, especially in Europe that offer free food. needless to say, was pretty crowded!. I loved the location of Hotel Lorena, so close to the Duomo and the train station, and they kindly held our luggage during the day after we checked out. It was so fun to open our window at night and hear the sounds of the city at night. And their recommendation for the restaurant next door was excellent. Wifi worked well, except for logging in every time. It's a great location, the Medici Chapel towers over the little square just yards away around the corner, San Lorenzo is just behind it and the Duomo and the food market are very close. We were made to feel really welcome by the staff and the hotel was clean, comfortable and it felt like a part of Florence not part of a multi-national hotel chain. The location is awesome! Not far from the station and the main attractions. To Santa - Maria del Fiore 5 minutes for walk. Near a variety of bars, cafes, restaurants, shops. Clean and comfortable room. The room very very small! No phonic isolation (but very common in old buildings in Florence) the toilet and the shower common for 2 rooms( but announced when reserved). The street out front can be a little noisy, but that's common in most inner-city European hotels. Soundproof was not very good, but I think it could be accepted by most of the people. N/A. There is a short set of stairs without a lift. Very noisy inside and out on the street. Not good for sleeping. room was small. no dislikes. we cant go out from 2 to 6 am. Beds were not very good. -the lift is too small and not easy to use -no lift up to 1st floor. Nothing. nothing. Bathroom is really small. WIFI did not work for more than one device per room, even when we asked for another password. They change towels every other day, we were very surprised with this, however when we complained - got clean towels immediately.
