My favorate B&B in Italy. Wonderful decoration with high ceilings and open space feeling. The room was big and clean, with colored and creative design. They have a big public living room where you can hang out and have meals. We really like the location. It is within a local residential community so we could really experience how their daily life went and avoid the crowd and noise of the tourists spot. It is also very convenient to get to those tourists spots. It was just 10 minutes to the .
all reviews » It was really the cheapest available. Since we were travelling by car, we needed parking, which meant we needed to stay out of downtown anyway. Bus connection to downtown is OK, but not that frequent on weekends. You can get a taxi for around 10 EUR, which is what we did twice. Rooms in the B&B looked really nice. We were 3 and stayed at a small apartment close by, which was big and comfortable, except for the sofa bed. 1. Big supermarket Coop nearby. 2. Room design and garden view (we stayed in Camera Pietra). 3. Common kitchen with dishes. 4. Friendly and helpful staff, fluent in English. 5. Location is ok if you use the bus (they run every 10-20 minutes and more or less according to the timetable which you can find at the bus stops). If you walk from Firenze Centrale railway station it will take you about 25 min. The staff was excellent, the decoration was very pleasant, concerns for guest needs and free use of kitchen and facilities, modest prizes for soft drinks, concern for ecology, very good breakfast. If returning to Florence we shall definitely choose this B&B again (we stayed in 2 nights a room with en suite bathroom, named Vetro). Thank you very much to Valentina and Chiara !. Great location on bus line which provided easy access to the city center. Amazing access to local grocery store and a wonderful cafe. Really great restaurant located down the street that is open quite late and had the best food. Staff was very helpful and spent time going over the Florence map. Beautiful!!!! Very clean and nice, excellent location and DON'T MISS THE BEST GELATO THAT YOU WILL EVER HAVE.....'GELATERIA DE' MEDICCI"...just walking a couple of blocks from the hotel. ;-). The room is spacious n gives a cosy home feeling. The shared kitchen facilities marked up the value of ur money for those who love to cook. The breakfast buffet spread is also v nice esp it added fresh fruit in it. the city center can be easily reached by bus, which stops near the b&b. the std dbl room is much more smaller than the superior one. for a difference of 10-20EUR/night I would recommend the superior room. The apartment was great except for bathroom which needs work in the shower. Location was okay for young kids. Once you figure out the buses you can get to all big tourist sites. Great apartment, great size and it has all the amenities you would require. Close to a massive supermarket and the bus stop into town. As for the parking, if you really need it, better check in advance if they have place for your stay, because they don't have that many The bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed was really bad. 1. Troubles with WiFi reception in the room - had to get to the hall to get the signal. 2. Some howling noise from the bathroom across the wall everytime people took the shower there. 3. Weak water force in the shower. 4. Some of the breakfast breads were outdated. Lack of elevator to the second floor, and it would be nice to get a printed page with bus schedule from the hotel, for better time planning. Mosquitos For our stay we stayed in the apartment. Since it is an apartment building the other two tenants are very strict with noise. Everything from going up and down stairs to phone conversation. The elevator doesn,t work for the B&B....but they help us with our lugagge anyway ;-). The toilet space is good but the shower area is too tiny. Luciky we're not big size but we had hard time turning around.. In additional, can the staff coming in the early morning to b a little quieter w their foot steps? For light sleepers, this place may not b too ideal.. the b&b is at 3rd floor, with no access to the elevator. Small steep staircase to apartment, shower was a problem, AC wasn't working properly and until you figure out the bus schedule a bot far too walk to city centre. Had to get the bus to get into the centre of florence, apartment is really big! But there is only one shower. Bed was not a double, but two singles put together. I liked everything :). No staff between 13:00-15:00 and after 19:00, but they're available on phone. Was a bit inconvenient getting to town. But the quiet surroundings at night more thsb made up for this. Old stye bath room was not too convenient, looked a bit rugged.. Um pouco deslocado do centro. 15 to 20 min walking to the centert. No Left - Hard to find find - Hard to find a Parking.
