Paolo speaks good English, he gave us clear directions on how to reach the B&B and let us in even though we arrived late at night. You should call or email in advance though, because there isn't always someone around. The place was charming and well kept for an old building. The double glazing and shutters did wonders to keep the noise of the trains low enough not to wake us. The room was large and had enough space for 3 girls with huge luggage, that is more challenging than you'd think. Th.

The decoration of the accommodation is really nice with a vintage style, which is really adapt to the environment of Firenze. The staff always try their best to help, although the reception lady's English is not perfect :). The hotel owner Paolo is very nice and easy going. Without his advices we could be lost in the city:) We really enjoyed the room furnishing. The hotel is located in 15-20 min by walk from the city centre. very preaty, beautiful, interesting place! cozy, inviting, homelike!! it's little real Italy inside! recommend this hotel very much!!!. The breakfast was prepacked and in the room,though it was an advantage that you had a snack and tea or coffee on hand. We could easily get breakfast from the market (I would recommend San Lorenzo). There was no sign of eco-friendliness, the guest are given plastic disposable cups wrapped in plastic, the bathroom tiles seemed printed and un-natural like the terra-cotta ones in the main room. The room heater remained on so the room remained hot all of my 3 days which was a concern, the tv didn't seem to work. Breakfast serves every day, but it seems that it is not that eco- friendly as the hotel's name cos it's not that fresh with plastic bags and seems to be regarded as junk food. Maybe offering the toast machine and fresh bread is more acceptable. Another thing is this building has no lifts. Breakfast is limited to pre-packed items delivered the night before, not a fresh breakfast in the morning. poor breakfast. Train station nearby and noise... but its noisy city. Poor breakfast. Need fans and/or sound machines to block out street noise and loud neighbors. The "unstable" furniture. very noisy! next to railway station, the whole building nearly shaking! far from city centre!.
