Perfect hotel to access Fiumicino Airport for an early flight. Owner was very friendly and went out of his way to help us return our rental car the evening before our flight. The individual car rental companies are very hard to find at the airport due to poor signage. The owner had us follow him and went all the way to the return desk of our company and then drove us back to the hotel. Host was beyond kind and friendly going out of his way to assist us in returning a car rental, recommending a great restaurant, and even dropping us off at said restaurant. It is the best place to stay if needing a one night stay either flying into or out of italy from fco airport. Breakfast was quaint with added bonus of fresh cut lemons from the host tree! !! Would stay again ans highly recommend. We were treated like royalty, our host picked us up, drove us to various locations and drove us to the airport. The facility is very up to date ,spacious room , well designed bathroom, large patio, good security. Some people might complain about breakfast but we found it to be enjoyable, staff will gladly give coffee refills.Italian breakfast is not like North American in content. Enjoyed our visit . Location! So close to airport yet out of the traffic area. We were surprised with the most friendly host and the extreme cleanliness of the B&B. We received personal service from beginning to end: We had a flight out before 7am, and the owner personally drove us at 4:30. We flew in late to rome airport and were worried we wouldn't make check but we ended up checking in at 10 to 12 at night and it wasn't a problem. Everything is perfect. Very minor...took a few minutes walk to the nearest restaurant (& look out for traffic) and that they don't accept credit cards. Other than that, Insula Portus is great!. We liked everything. Nothing. There is nothing within walking distance. There is a good bus system but you really need to know where you're going. Nothing. Location is residential, on a busy street, but owner bring drive you where you need to. On edge of commercial industrial area, hosts while helpful did not speak English. very small B&B. Actually, they do not provide shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, but they do provide the service from the hotel to the airport. They cut all the power of the room from 12:40 am to 6:00 am.
