Eugenio was a wonderfull host! The room was lovely,clean and,yet small, well supplied with comforts. We had an impression that we know each other for a long time already! It is an open house with Eugenio with open heart! And yes, it is thru: he can make excellent creps with diferent tips of fine flour! He made us creps for breakfast by our choice,yami! And of course there were other excuisite local food spetialities including fresh fruit, local cheese etc. Thank you for your hospitality Eu.
all reviews » This B&B was like a home away from home. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Eugenio was the perfect host. He has gone out of his way to make us feel at home and did more for us than we could ever have expected. Breakfast was the best we had in our three weeks in Italy - the crepes were the best! If you want to get away from the impersonal hotel setup, this is the place to stay! Dervio is not as busy as some of the other towns on Lake Como and a good option for a peaceful stay. The Casa del Poeta is located in charming Dervio on the Lake of Como. Eugenio came to meet us in town and we felt at home here. He helped us getting settled in and in the morning he prepared a tasty breakfast. The Casa Del Poeta is a nicely different place...it has been like being hosted by your best friend...we came here as guests we left as friends. Grazie Eugenio. La Casa Del Poeta is a wonderful choice for those who are looking for a peaceful vocation place near to the lake. The owner Eugenio is super helpful and nice, he made my visit in Lake Como extremely pleasant. The room is super nice and clean, breakfast is awesome. It's beyond a bed&breakfast experience. La Casa Del Poeta is very cosy and Eugenio is so nice that we felt we were visiting family. He baked delicious pancakes in the morning and gave us good advice about what to visit. The room is good and the location perfect. I will definitely go back to the Casa Del Poeta. Eugenio is very helpful, generous and friendly. The place is for people who want to stay in an authentic italian village with no tourist (in may at least, don't know in the heart of summer...) a huge splendid breakfast with local products. The host was very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The breakfast was delicious, home-cooked, and lots of choices. The room was small but comfortable. Free wi-fi. We could walk to the lake and restaurants. We spent one night in a small but cozy room. The hosts are very friendly, they made us feel like home. The breakfast was extremely yummy and rich. Do not miss Eugenio's crepes, it is a must!. The owner is very friendly and an excellent cook! A superb breakfast and even a gift of something to eat along the way. Very nice hosts, great creps :) and coffee every morning, view on the castle on a hill, not far for the lake. Clean rooms with in-room bathroom. Awesome hospitality and a fantastic breakfast spread. The couple were so nice and cordially behaved. We had a problem with a parking place. Nothing, excellent value. Nothing. Location was a bit hard to find and parking was not on the premise but was free across the street. Shower was very small. Everything was perfect!. Personally there was nothing I didn't like. Don't expect 5 star luxury - the rooms are basic but perfectly comfortable. A little bit too small room. Nothing.
