Set in the small village of Colleoli, the property is 2 km from the medieval town of Palaia and 13 km from Pontedera. Pisa is 45 minutes away by car, while Florence is just over an hour's drive away.

We received an upgrade to a delightful spacious apartment which had 2 bathrooms although we had booked only a 2 room apt with 1 bathroom. We loved the opera performance on thursday evening on the courtyard. This borgo is a old, beautifully renovated estate, the pool was big enough, although surrounded by hills and trees there was too much shade for sunlovers like us. Although we've seen negative reviews about the limited breakfast we thought it was a reasonable buffet selection of coffee/tea, I.

The whole Borgo area is pedestrian only and you can get around by golf cart. The wine bar is open from April until October. A sweet Italian breakfast is available all year round, apart from between 10 January and 28 February. The restaurant will be closed from 10 January until 31 March and from 5 November until 22 December 2014.
