Bologna 4* star Hotels

The room was very spacious, clean and overall, very comfortable. Thestaff was extremely helpful. The location of the hotel wasexcellent...accessible to the train station, to shopping andrestaurants. The free internet was a wonderful extra for me since Ineeded to stay in touch with my business on a daily basis. The breakfastwas wonderful. I highly recommend I Portici Hotel. - Anonymous

Great location - very central for all the interesting parts of thiswonderful city + easy to get to from the station on a 25 bus. We stayedon top floor at the back - balcony view over the rooftops and quiet(street below could be noisy on a Saturday night on the other side asvery lively. Friendly staff. - Anonymous

The window was actually a two window (quadruple-glaze) which meant it was really quiet. Nice to have the little extra: a kettle with tea, coffee; even a chocolate on the bedside table; sleepers. Nowadays, hotels reduce extra; not Starhotels Excelsior in Bologna - Anonymous

The decor was amazing! The nicest looking hotel I have stayed in, we were blown away by just how lush it was. We also liked the concierge, he was friendly, welcoming and abliging! The buffet breakfast was second to none - great cappucino. - Melissa

Well appointed bedroom with terrace; very helpful and polite staff; excellent food; excellent facilities with lots of seperate areas to read/sit quietly/drink.. Lovely pool and seating area. Quietly efficient cleaning staff. An extremely well run hotel with emphasis on client satisfaction. The pool was a great place for my teenage daughter to enjoy the company of other teenagers. - Laima

Delightful hotel with great staff. Rooms are beautiful (flat screen tv, sofa, comfortable beds, spacious marble bathroom) and absolutely spotless. Common areas have sweetie bowls! The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, with lovely, efficient staff. Excellent location, less than 10 mins walk to station and about the same into Bologna old town down a great shopping street! Excellent new hotel with fluent English-speaking staff only 20-30 mins walk from the town centre. I rang to confirm the address and the receptionist gave clear and concise instructions. The rooms are spotless and extremely comfortable.Great value for money, although the restaurant is not the cheapest in the area - there is a steak-house and a very good pizza restaurant with a menu in English 5 mins. walk away. - Stephen

The staff were very helpful and changed the room from the front to the back of the hotel with no problem.The buffet breakfast is good value if you want a big breakfast- statrs fom 6.30 am.- go and see selection before deciding if this is what you want as there are es round about and also internet bar - 1e / hour and staff friendly.Hotel charges for use. 5- 10 e / hour. - Anonymous

A lovely hotel with great beds and bathrooms. We ate at the Garganelli Resturant of the Savoia Regency Hotel next door and had probably our best meal in Italy and I have travelled here often. Drinks at the Guest house bar were also nice with a good selection of wines, a good venue out of the bussle of Bologna, great for a self drive break. - Anonymous

The staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms were immaculate, the breakfast buffet was excellent. The bed and room ammenties were great. The hotel is convient to both the train station and some major sites. - Mary
