I agree with the person who asked whether they had stayed at the same hotel as many of the other reviewers. Having read the reviews, I expected something like the house in the Addams Family. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. True the carpet and furnishings were probably not installed yesterday but they did not look particularly worn to me. The lobby was comfortable, the staff were helpful, the room was neat, and the price and location were unbeatable. It's not the place for a romanti.

Somewhat dingy and quite worn (eg, carpeting, peeling wallpaper and paint, etc); some 'off' odours; lighting in some places too dim or too fluorescent; this hotel could definitely use a facelift, but overall I was happier than I expected to be based on some of the other more negative reviews. If they stripped the old carpet, redid the paint and wallpaper, refinished the most worn furniture and installed more modern door locks, this would be a very special place to visit. mattress ok but could be improved. slightly faded glory. The internet connection is only in the lobby and with the password that they provide you, only one person can connect at a time. The hotel is old and the room is a bit humid but it was big and quite.
