The trullo was charming, very nicely furnished and decorated, maintaining tradition and was spotlessly clean. It was very well situated to explore the town and surrounding area - after many years of wanting to see the trulli houses, staying in one was a unique experience! The staff welcomed us warmly and were very helpful during our stay. It was good value for money. Everything in the Trulli house was just perfect. I can't remember Iever had such a complete and beautifull house in my life before.When Iwas on the (free) internet Computer at Trulli Holidays main office, Inoticed a discussion between Trujlli Holiday Staff and some annoying,bad-behaving arrogant American guests. I think the staff managed thesituation really well.
all reviews » I was only in Alberobello for a couple of nights but found staying in a trullo a delightful way to discover the place - it made me feel almost part of the community rather than a tourist. My trullo was as expected from the information given. It was comfortable and the breakfast in a local bar was fine. The Trulli Holiday staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at our trulli, #45 at night during a torrential downpour. We were soaking wet, and as we arrived at our trulli, escorted by a staff member, we could see that there was a roaring fire inside (wood pellet stove). Very thoughtful, and was just the touch. The bedspreads were lovely as were the sheets on the bed. Very atmospheric...The Trulli houses are truly exciting and interesting! They aresurrounded by an interesting atmosphere of shops, bars, restaurants anda bazaar. I wish we had stayed at least two days. They were listed onthe website as "small" but they were bigger than most hotel rooms inEurope. We liked this stay the best of our trip. We had booked the small trullo and were upgrated to the hudge one which was simply amazing and cozy. We fell in love with it! The staff even payed for our parking spot when we arrived :-0 Great experience, central location, very friendly and helpeful staff.. everything was perfect !. Everything. The facilities were simple but nice, however they do not have a local office open all day which makes it difficult if one arrives outside their office hourse.The trulli ws very large and spacious. The office staff were very nice, professional. The rooms were neat and clean upon arrival. The beds were actaully very comfortable.Much difficulty in finding the reception office. We had to ask severaltimes; nothing directed us to the booking office. We loved everything but missed one thing in our perfect trullo : somewhere to hang our towels near the bathroom door not to walk all wet in the room to grab them..The heater malfunctioned and it took almost 24 hours for the room to heat up comfortably. The staff immediately fixed the problem, but did not ensure that the heat had come on in the room when we checked in. The heat is only turned on when you check in as a cost saving measure, which is fine...just make sure it actually turns on. Being disabled it was a little difficult to get about and find reception but the staff were very helpful.The price was a little steep, so watch for discounts or off seasonspecials on the price of these rooms. The only grouse we had was with the air-conditioner in our trulli, which warmed up instead of cooled down the trulli. The trulli itself, though, was very clean and comfortable.The breakfast was just a caffe or capochino and a coronetto. If you are a big breakfast person you will be left wanting more. However, I've come to expect this and was not shocked. The continuous chiming of the church bells, not a problem if they stopped even at midnight, but they rang every quarter of an hour all through the night.The Trulli was right below the church. Air conditioning did not work, had paid for this facility, we did have one fan,but it was exceptionally hot during the night.A bit cold and very small bathroom, but that`s more or less the "fault" of the Trulli architecture. The breakfast provided by a local bar could be improved, as we were only provided with sweet things, no bread, cheese, or meat. However, it did not spoil our stay, don't be put off by this, the place is "Trulli" wonderful.The heating system is not working in Autumn and Spring (I suppose they will operate it during winder, ask for this) so a privet electric heater is mandatory. The breakfast was poor (coffee and croissant only) and 200 meters from the house (but we knew the distance before). As in most European hotels the beds are on the hard side, as are the pillows. The only suggestion I could make is softer pillows.Cold! But that was just bad luck with the weather. It may confuse some visitors to find that it is more like serviced self catering accommodation than a hotel, for example having breakfast in a cafe, Italian style. It was fine for us.The trullo was quite dark inside and to enjoy the sunshine we had to sit outside the front door on the street which was fairly busy. We have found a scorpion in the bathroom. It is the mediterran South Italy, so it is not really unusual (we had same experinece in Croatia), but who likes to found a scorpion in the shower...Bed not made. parking on the other side of town because it was market day !. The airconditioning did not work. The bathroom is a bit cramped (but what can you expect in a trullo). We stayed in the smallest type, you might want to consider choosing a bigger one. No swimming pool. It was cold!. We did not like their breakfast set up which is at a local bar with very unfriendly personnel and a lousy breakfast.the bathroom shower was for very small people ( for trulli people)!. The main rooms were very cold. The heaters didn't heat the whole area, especially in the afternoon hours. Room Service could have done a better job.

Information about the area

Alberobello is 18 km from the coast and situated 416 m above sea level and benefits from a healthy mountain climate. It's located in the middle of three provinces: Bari, Taranto and Brindisi. When you visit Alberobello you enter into a unique world. You have to visit the historic centre of the town on foot it's made up of two quarter: Monti and Aia Piccola. The rows on trulli which stand side by side all differ in size depending on the economic and social status of the owner. Since 1996, Alberobello has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

All our houses are refurbished independent Trulli all of which have a small kitchenette, bathroom and open fireplace and the bedroom is almost always situated in a romantic alcove of the house. We offer several sizes of property from small and intimate suitable for two people to properties made up of several Trulli which would suit larger families.
