Although stark on the outside, the First Hotel Malpensa was very nice and modern inside. The restaurant was quite good and the complimentary breakfast buffet was wonderful. I was also amazed at how quiet the hotel was, considering how close we were to the airport. No outside noise filtered in at all. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers who are looking for a place to stay. - Deborah

My business partner and I travel a lot, so we see varying quality. We are starting a new business and are on a budget. We were so impressed with this hotel that we introduced ourselves to the manager and told him so. It is clean, crisp and light. The members of staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room designs are funky and clever (eg the swivelling desk!) and interesting. We would certainly stay here again and would be pleased to recommend it. - Anthony

The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and although fairly close to the autostrada and 3 km from the airport, we were not disturbed by any noise. It was very convenient for our early flight back to the UK. - Anonymous

Our rooms (one night each at the start and end of a vacation stay inItaly) were both spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff(the man who was always at the front desk and answered our phone callsfor our two stays) was wonderful: courteous, fluent in English, andinvariably helpful. We liked everything about this hotel and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The room was new, beautiful, stylish design and spotlessly clean. It was only 5- 7 minutes from the airport, but so much nicer than staying in an airport hotel for 2-3 times the price. The breakfast was wonderful and started serving at 630 am for early flights. The shuttle response was excellent. They arrived 10 mins after we called them from the airport. The staff was so friendly and helpful.The next morning at 5:45am for our 6:00am departure, we were greeted by a smiling, beautifully made up woman, who served us a great cappucino and apple cake. We were looking forward to being at the Villa Delle Rose based on the description on the web site, but it exceeded our expectations in all respects. Our meals at the Oca Nero and the breakfast were excellent. Our interaction with staff was most satisfying. - Vincent

We arrived at 11.30 p.m., and they have offered to open up the kitchen, made us some delicious food, and, to top it all off, invited to a birthday celebration of a local hotel employee (her name was Francesca) -- with cake and all -- made us feel like family. - Alexander
