  This was a delightful place to stay with Manuela being so helpful and friendly to all her guests. Breakfast was lovely and when weather was nice we got to mingle with other guests - even in the afternoon when we could sit in garden having tea and coffee with whoever was around from sightseeing the town which is only 2 to 3 minute walk away. Anot... what people say » her bonus was free internet available in each room - The owner is the nicest host you could ever ask for. The room (family sized) was awesome with plenty of space. The beds were comfortable. The location is great, very close to the walls of central Lucca. It's in a quiet neigborhood with small shops (pastry, laundry, and others) within a short walk. Breakfast was better than expected and again the owner is the perfect host.

  I was a bit stressed out when we arrived, because we arrived a few hours later than planned. and had to drive down a narrow pedestrian street to reach the hotel. Being from the U.S., it felt much like driving down a busy sidewalk. But hosts Bri'd and Stefano were just wonderful. They came down to meet us as we parked the car, and sensing my stress... what people say » ed out state of mind, they hopped in the back seat and directed us to an area where we could safely park the car overnight. They walked back with us t - Truly an experience staying in a building of the 14th century. It is located in the heart of Lucca. Our Divina room was beautifully painted, spacious with high castle like ceiling.Bathroom was contemporary and clean. Cappuccino was excellent and the hosts are very gracious.
