The positiv approach the staff showed. Excellent staff at the front desk when we arrieved. very informative reception and we were infomed about the city, the hotel and the surroundings. The impression of a profesional and smiling staff, including the cleaners and the waiters continued until the check out. The room was clean, the staff were courteous, and the view lived up to the photos. We had a rental car, and this hotel was a great base to travel from for the few days we stayed.

The front desk staff member that took care of the check out did not have the same positive approach as the rest of the staff we met. It was the only place that we stayed at (mostly 4 star similar to this hotel) in our 3 weeks in Israel that wanted to charge for wifi internet. Free wifi + smart phone = easy communication to family back home, and it was a bit frustrating to have to go to a cafe in Tiberias to use their internet without extra fees. Given this was the most expensive of the hotels during our stay, it was quite disappointing and inconvenient. The hotel was missing the little things that make it a really great hotel. The bathroom amenities were lacking.The pool closed at 6. There wasn't anything going on if you didn't get in your car and go downtown. No safe on the room A Very hard bed. None. Internet is very expensive, and should be free. I booked four rooms, and didn't even receive a complimentary internet pass. Staff don't greet any time (except one young man in the pool and the dining room). Pool not open enough hours. swimming pool preparation, lack of swimming pool,. The other guests, especially when they arrived Friday afternoon. They were too loud and too impolite, in a word.... typical Israelis haha. Stairway transit between floors was made difficult due to protrusions between levels. Difficult to maneuver for older person. Some staff members were curt. cleanliness, shabbiness. This facility is very old and needs to be renovated. The rooms are outdated and lack modern fixtures. The location is hard to find on a side street. Some local tourists played heavy music at pool and were not addressed by pool staff Cost OK but may have found nice pastoral at lower cost, better off for children. I don't think that Golan is at the level of a four star hotel, not in terms of the facilities, not in terms of every aspect of the room, and mainly, not in terms of the meal which was poor. I would say Golan is a good 3 star hotel, but for a four star hotel it's very expensive. Nothing. Poor quality of rooms accommodation specially bathrooms. Food in a low average. Overpriced, outdated, old, needs renovation.
