It was our second stay at Gordon Hotel & Lounge. The location is great- just across the road is the beach. The staff are so helpful and friendly, we found that no request was too much trouble. The staff are knowledgeable too and share with you. We have travelled a lot over years and the staff in this hotel have to be up there at the top. Gordon Hotel & Lounge is clean and very comfortable with free toiletries. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
all reviews » Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ana (I think that was her name) was outstanding in getting us set up, suggesting restaurants, and setting up tours. Breakfast was very good, so was the coffee. View from the room (beach-view, first floor) was great. Staff made lunches for us on the days we had early tours booked and missed breakfast. Free mini-bar was very nice addition. Room was clean and very efficient. Very modern lighting and HVAC controls. This boutique hotel was a great find on the centre of the main beach in Tel Aviv within walking distance to key locations, cafes, restaurants & shops. Fantastic Friendly Staff and the Restaurant & breakfast was amazing!Loved my stay here and would stay again!. Ideal location for touring Tel Aviv or walking/swimming. The hotel and rooms are clean and modern. Parking at a nearby lot is convenient (unless you arrive Saturday afternoon!). Bar/restaurant is pleasant for breakfast and perfect for a sunset drink or snack. One of the best nights of sleep we had in Israel (over two weeks). Super comfortable, super clean, really nice feel to the room--very cozy and quiet. Amazing location...walking distance to so many fun spots/neighborhoods...and right on the waterfront. Very friendly and helpfull staff (most of them). Complimentary coctails every evening in hotels bar. Good location, beach just accross the street. Deluxe room normal size, standard must be very small. Clean and modern room. Free minibar (no alcohol). - Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I thought the rooms were excellent. The Gordon is a unique smaller hotel and well positioned with balconies overlooking a beach that is currently being refurbished with shops and new equipment. It offers good value for money for its high level of comfort. newly decorated rooms and well fitted bathroom. The hotel is well situated near the centre of Tel Aviv and is a small comfortable place with, at present, 12 rooms. Location was fabulous. (Included) breakfasts were very good, and we had a delicious dinner on the porch overlooking the Sea. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The staff is the best, they are the most beautiful persons on the whole world! We never met such friendly and helpful crew before! We loved them!. Facilities were in good shape and clean. The room was modern, with nice view to Mediterranian. The staff was professional and very helpful. The Personnel is incredibly friendly, dedicated and helpful. Position great.Young staff very friendly and helpful.Bedrooms clean and efficient.Breakfast excellent. We got a full refund on our trip. The free frigobar. Nothing. There was some street noise as we were right on the street, but we were so tired after long days sight-seeing it didn't really bother us. The bathroom was very nice, but a small shelf above the sink would be useful. The mini-bar fridge was not real cold, but that seemed to be the case all over Israel. Some fresh fruit in the mini-bar would have been awesome. All of this is very minor compared to the great staff, clean and comfortable room, and great location. Make sure you book the restaurant for dinner as is always packed if you want to sit outdoors (as it has an excellent food and drink selection). We ran out of hot water pretty quickly in the morning, otherwise no complaints. A la carte breakfast was good but list quite limited. - Bathroom could have appeared cleaner but overall great experience. Nothing really. Although the room was very clean, the balcony was untidy and not pleasant to sit on. A real shame as the view over the beach at sunset is fantastic. The breakfast menu was very limited (I didnt see any smoked salmon on the menu) and disappointing for such an upmarket hotel. We had great selection of food at cheaper hotels. The hotel is being re-fitted, hence the new bathroom etc. The restaurant and bar were not open, the only meal available was breakfast. We would have liked to have been told at time of booking, that was the case. There is not a lift in the hotel so access to the top floor was difficult for one of our party. There was no place to put our suitcases or belongings. Our room was only a little bigger than the bed, with one very small closet. The parking arrangement was inadequate (the staff helped very vigorously though). The light switches in the bedrooms turns you crazy. Some noise reduction (traffic on the boulevard) would be appreciated. no elevator. nothing. No lift The luxery room very small for paying so much. value for money. The new restaurant Fitzroy - not nearly as good as Salt. Although marketing as beachfront hotel the hotel is cross the road from beach the restaurant in the hotel was not operating and neither was the bar which was a massive negative to us as we normally like to return home unwind and relax with a drink--this we could not do and put us off the hotel big time. Hotel really needs to invest in better windows and doors as noise levels during the night are not acceptable. While we were there they were in the last throes of refurbishment.The effect was -nowhere to be outside the bedroom,no sitting space,no bar,no restaurant.Of course bad weather did not help.Breakfast cramped(weather). Tiny room, value for money was poor. ~The bedroom was tiny, the hotel was being renovated and they failed to let us know before we arrived. There were wires hanging down, dust everywhere and the lounge was unavailable. The noise Theu don't accept debit card ( there is no swipe machine).
