When I asked for help it was very punctual and forthcoming. I enjoyed the amenities - pool etc - the room itself - TV - the food and bar areas- the proximity to the town -churches - beach in Rosslare - towns of Enniscorthy etc. The food was delicious. The Ballast lounge had good entertainment and a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Modern well located hotel near the shops and harbour. during our stay at the Talbot Hotel we were very well catered for , location , comfortable rooms excellent food , and exceptionally pleasent helpfull staff , very professional , plesent receptionist on the night of arrival';. It was a pleasure to stay in a genuinely 4 star hotel at the incredibly competitive price that was offered.i thought the staff were excellent,food top class ,in a nutshell would recommend hotel. The staff was superb, very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.Cloe to town, very comfortable and excellent welcome. Everything was very pleasant about it.The superb view from room 530. The Staff were very friendly really made a differance to our stay and the food in the bar and restaurant was gorgeous. I use to live in Wexford and the Talbot always had a good reputation. So I was delighted to get a room there at the time of the opera festival. leisure centre was very good.food was nice in the bar and there was entertainment also.staff were helpful.Staff were very friendly; nice bar, restaurant, reception area; leisure center / massage area were good. located in the centre of the city and free parking space available, good breakfast. the cleanliness of the hotel and the facilities on offer.Also the central site. the staff were very efficient and friendly, its location, and nice atmosphere.The comfort and service also friendlyness of hotel staff and other guests. Service and Food was very good. The very large bed. They proactively offered an earlier breakfast to facilitate an early departure. Bar and bar food, public areas, restaurant. food in Oyster Bar was excellent. To be fair I would only be picking if I was to do that. The only down side was the selfish guests staying there for a wedding on our second night. I had my my own important event to attend the following day and I hardly slept a wink. I would always ask in future if I was to stay again if there was going to be a big event or wedding held there during my stay. The hotel itself is superb as were the staff.It didnt do anything for the rain :). Hotel rooms need refurbishment ,but bar and resturant were lovely.We had twin room,my partner is a big man so he felt single bed was a little small. We always get twin accommodation in hotels, usually the single beds are bigger. Facilities in bedroom a bit dated.only comments is that we didnt feel there was enough selection of food to cover all tastes for price and amount on the menu - if you have a small appetite!. WiFi access should have been complimentary. food was not great. no internet access as pc's wereout of order on friday and not repaired during stay. Too far away. the room heating was not working and there was a small electric radiator instead,room was cool enough.toilet did not flush vwery well.Shower pressure was terrible despite moving rooms 3 times to find a decent shower. The rooms need updating. Booked a double room but got 2 single beds pushed together. no WiFi in rooms available yet. Despite expressing a preference for a for a non smoking room I was given a smoking room which reeked of tobacco smoke. The smell of the pillow cases made it hard to sleep.When I complained the hotel denied details of my expressed preference had been passed to them by yourselves. The very small room - I asked to be moved but there was only a smoking room available.Our booking had not been recorded, but they found us a room and later apologised for their mistake. could not get heating to work in room. Very poor water pressure on fifth floor. Would be much better if breakfast was served at table. Quality of breakfast middling, coffee nasty and lukewarm. Much inferior to breakfast experience in Lancaster Lodge in Cork day before. Staff could be more welcoming.
