Very attentive staff. Most think this should be normal in a hotel but it is not. Every staff member that I encountered behaved like their job was a career and not a passing fad, it was very impressive to say the least. I am a massive critic, and when I say that the food was incredible it was and very reasonably priced. And the room service is free! I can't remember the last time I had the privacy to gorge myself in the privacy of my own room - but once you start you can't stop. Let me me recom.
all reviews » We stayed here for a wedding that was being held in Whites hotel. Riverbank was €150 cheaper than Whites and that was the main reason we stayed. On arrival (Fri) lovely lady at check in gave us all the details of breakfast etc. Also told us that the car park they had was very small so if we couldn't get a spot there to park up at the swimming pool as it was free to park there otherwise we would have to pay for the public car park. On Sat morning (morning of wedding) we asked for food at 11.45 t. The staff were excellent, very child friendly brought milk and cookies to the room at half 8 that evening for our toddler who very much appreciated them. They have great patience for children and cant help you enough absolute credit to the hotel. The restaurant is delicious and so reasonably priced highly recommend the Button Moon dessert from the child's menu €3.25 had it both evenings :). The welcome was friendly and booking in was smooth. Room was great and just what we wanted, as we didn't want modern and impersonal and this hotel was neither with a true Irish feel and welcome. First time visiting Ireland and enjoyed sooo much will definitely be going back and would stay at the riverbank every time. i could not fault a thing , other than finding the door leading to the 1st floor, was a bit comfussing, but there was drink taken lol . great staff, comfy large rooms, good breakfast , nice touch when bottled water is given on departure , great hotel . thanks very much .. Very friendly atmosphere with staff and decor. I would describe it as a very cosy hotel, with lots of trees at the front and candle lit paths. which made the initial visit very welcoming. Rooms very comfortable and the Restaurant / Bar was very nice with open fire. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful The rooms were adequate for our needs. The teenagers is our party were delighted with the free wifi We only stayed one night and didn't have breakfast so cannot comment.on anything else. Loved the staff. From reception to restaurant they service was great. Really felt like they were there to help and serve the customer. Great price on the room and breakfast too. Plus the views from the restaurant were lovely. Liked everything about hotel..from arrival at hotel we met receptionist called loretto,she was very friendly and helpful in every way...the room was spotless, barstaff very attentive,food was fab...def stay there again.... We only stayed for one night prior to getting the ferry back to the UK. I would love to have stayed longer as I found it to be a lovely hotel. This is a very comfortable hotel with good facilities and very friendly staff. It is well situated by the sea and river with the town of Wexford just a short walk over the bridge. Dirt on the windows in the breakfast room, windows out on to a road though, maybe they hard to clean but not nice. table seemed a bit greasy, cold be the cleaning fluid. there was some dust in our room. Limited parking. I could not fault anything. the road works, but even that was semi entertaining when the 2 girls walked past, the boys stopped working ;). nothing really all was good. Bathroom was a little small and the room was a little dark but everything else was so nice it didn't matter. couldnt really fault it. Nothing in particular. Bath towels a bit small. As usual, the cost of the breakfast is a little expensive. Lack of adequate parking. 4Pm check in was too late and room smelled heavily of smoking which we didn't like at all, but we needed three beds. Not enough onsite parking. Parking, not enough spaces. no aircon in the room, our room #214 is located on the very noisy side, it is on the side of where they deliver their beer barrels, take their garbage cans..you can here the banging, delivery truck...when we open the windows..because if you don't open the windows, our room gets hot, we don't have ventilation. Weather! Not your fault though! Just unlucky. No complaints worth noting. no entertainment. no complaints what soever. small bathroom, low water pressure. Nothing of particular note. Parking was very difficult. no leasure facilitys ie swimming pool gym.
