The hotel was relaxed and the opportunity to chill out in the lounge with afternoon tea provided was very nice. I noticed some other guests - particularly children seemed to really enjoy it. There was ample seating and it was bright and airy - good for reading or chatting!!
The location was good too on the way to Muckross but near enough to town to walk.
There was a lot of menus of local eateries available in the lobby too which would have been very useful had they been pointed out to us...we

Service. The owner greeted us warmly and showed us to our rooms, then made us a pot of tea that we enjoyed as we overlooked the incredibly view of the sea. The place is updated, spacious with good amenities. The owner spoke to us by our first names throughout the stay, went out of her way to make our stay a good one, and was flexible about hours for meals. The food was excellent and plentiful. It was nice to be able to help yourself to drinks and biscuits at any time without feeling you we
