The hostel lived up to my expectations. The staff is young and friendly. The good points are the location, heating, cleaning and reception 24 hours a day, and also the private car park. -

I was greeted personally they called me on my way from the airport. I was dreading the noise as it is in very busy /noisy Temple Bar but my suite ( Bram Stoker) was not on street ... so it was quiet .. and they provide ear plugs . ITs a vry urban environment so if you re looking for views or sense of space its not a place for you. The room are large however and otherwise perfect . Will use it again .

Location was great, couldnt ask for a better place.
Easy to find, and relatively comfortable. I was worried about security of my things before I got there, but once I arrived I felt it would be okay to leave items in my room and had no problems.
Can't ask fora better price. $90USD for 3 nights in the heart of Dublin.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Was weighing up whether to stay at the Westbury or her and we were so glad we picked the Shelbourne! It is a half a block away so it made it easy to find the city bus tours and the tourism office. The beds were very comfortable which was a definite plus. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The staff was perhaps the best part of the whole experience. We were able to lock our bags up before checking in so we didn't have to drag them around the city. Also, the staff helped us with directions, provided free maps, and recommended places to eat.
