  Staff: very friendly & helpful -- called for taxis and gave us information on the area. Had a triple room which was spacious with high ceilings and a bay window -- very charming. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with tea/coffee/sugar. Donnybrook location is great -- bus stop a block away, and only 10 minutes north you're downtown, 10 minutes sout - Everything was fantastic, the staff went over and beyond what they were required to do. I was very impressed and left with a fabulous well cared for feeling. You have a great place, very comfortable beds and quiet location. The buses were very easy to get also and handy with all the conveniences over the road. Thanks for a 5* experience. I will definitely be recommending it to others. :)

  My friend and I arrived at around 10.20am, we were soaking wet from the morning downpour and there was a twin room ready, they checked us in straight away. The bar was lovely, great service and reasonably priced, tasty food. We went to Dublin for a concert, if we had to go again, we would def stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel again.   Lovely old bulding in nice area of Dublin , very friendly and helpful receptionist , our suite on top floor was amazing , we loved four poster bed and wonderful hot tube. There was selection of dvd's to watch , air condition , well equiped kitchen and even sauna in the suite ! Balcony and special room with pc and even printer were there too. I bet everyone else have already praise - The Waterloo Lodge was ideal for my stay as it was 10 minutes walk to rds and to Marion Square (start location of the Dublin city Marathon). I traveled with my wife and our two kids (3 & 5 years old) and the family room we had was ideal, plenty of space. Staff were very accommodating and breakfast was excellent. All in all, we had a pleasant 3 nights stay in the Waterloo lodge.
