We travelled with our 16 year old son and chose this hotel down to price. The reception area and bar/restaurant area were nice and the leisure centre was terrific although the gym was average at best. The ros were fine but there was a slightly damp odour in corridors and gym area. Whilst the hotel was quite noisy with a lot of young kids, it didn't affect our visit. If my family was younger this was a fantastic place to stay. The facilities both indoor and outdoor were great and it was unbeliev.
all reviews » The best family hotel myself and my parents have ever stayed in. I have two children aged 2 and 3 and they didn't want to leave! The family suite was fantastic with lots of space and facilities. The pool was great and very child safe with different areas for abilities and heights. The staff were all amazing and could not have been nicer. There were activities and clubs for the kids and bouncy castles and the outdoor playground was great for my two boys. Brilliant break all round. This was the first holiday we had with our 2 kids 3yrs and 7months; after reading the reviews and it seemed to be ideal. On arrival we were upgrade free into a suite which I would recommend for families for a bit more space. The liesure facilities were fantastic our kids loved the pool; and the indoor soccer pitch. Would seriously consider coming back to this hotel looking forward to trying other hotels in the group. The staff were excellent with kids and willing to help in every way to make the stay better for everyone and although kids are young they genuinely had a ball. Great atmosphere in the bar on Saturday nite and everyone mixing as kids were all mixing. First time and first time we have been in a hotel break where we add parents really had a relaxing time in the lounge at nite in a no of years. We very much liked the space and comfort of the suite.The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent and superb value for money . The breakfast was of good qulaity, the beds were very comfortable and the shower was very good. The girl who waited our table on The Saturday night was superb, very firendly and helpful and nothing was a problem although it was obvious she was very busy. The location was very convenient, close to the main by pass and very close to a large supermarket, garage and ATM. Food was plentiful and of good quality. The sauna. steam room and pool were very good indeed. We stayed in a suite which would have provided ample space for a family and included Microwave, toaster, fridge and sink as well as necessary crockery and cutlery - excellent!. excellent family friendly hotel,leisure facilities fantastic,lovely warm pool & changing area,travell cot in the changing room for babies & plenty of towells.lots of games & activities for children of all ages,all staff were so nice & helpful.will be back to stay again,very good hotel for families. Rooms were spacious and clean Staff very friendly and helpful We were late arriving first night and missed dinner pity there no room service but hotel very helpful with giving is take out menus and got delivery to room. As we had a suite it was perfect for us as all the facilities of a kitchen were there. Room was spacious. Food was great nice selection. Me and my husband went for night without kids. Not the place for people without kids as there was families everywhere but i will be returning soon with our 2 kids as there are great thing for kids to do very family friendly. Great value for money. on arrival we were given a complimentry upgrade which we really appreciated. all staff were most courteous and helpful. on our day of departure we could use leisure facilities until 2pm which again brought our stay to a lovely end. we are already looking forward to our next visit. Great family hotel, lots of activities to keep children busy. Suites highly recommended if you have young children that go to sleep early. Well worth the extra cost as they have kitchenettes. Will always book a suite from now on. DVD player in rooms is an added bonus. Rooms were very modern, staff were very helpful and efficient. I reported a bloked toilet and it was fixed immediately. Kids loved the sweet shop. Great pool. Lots of free activities and entertainment. Food was efficient good quality and value for money. We had the family suite. It was top class.. very clean crisp linen and new duvets it would seem. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. My sixteen year old boys are looking forward to going back there again before they are seventeen!. We were very surprised with the amount of families and small children in the hotel but we have decided that it will be a place to bring our children also one day. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly. Lots to do for children and families. The suites are great if you have young children as you can put them to bed at their usual time and still stay up and watch Telly. On previous hotel trips we have all been in bed at 9:30!!. Everything was perfect, big rooms, comfortable bed's, good amenities, very quick service in bar for food.excellent value for money, secure parking during our stay for the international rally of the lakes. I've stayed at the quality hotel for many years. Its very convenient to the Cork Road. Staff are very helpful. Great pool. Meals very good and reasonable. Evening entertainment while we were there. service and breakfast in the morning.we had a birthday party there and service was excellent and the food was perfect and good value for money.staff were so nice and helpful.great hotel for family. All the stuff that went on in the hotel for the kids like the kids clubs and the creche. The games room for the teenagers and the teen club. Also the location was very good for sightseeing. We like all. Staff become were very friendly, especially the girl on a reception. The excellent vacation spot with children. The food at restaurant was very tasty and the prices accepted. The room was a very good size, large & roomy. Facilities were adequate, the swimming pool was quiet enough in the mornings to get a decent swim without lots of families in the pool. Kids club was great, my kids loved it and the staff that looked after the kids were exceptional and a credit to the hotel, would definitely go back again. Did not like the fact that there were no basic toiletries provided. it said twas 1km from the town but was more than that, a bit grubby looking from the outside & some parts of the hotel but the rooms were clean & bright,breakfast was a bit basic but fine,I didnt like the way it was busy in killarney on the sat night & they charged a lot more for that night than the fri & mon night !!. Rooms very warm Lift broken and Long distance to suite with luggage. Was extremely hot weather, hotel has no air conditioning and windows don't open very far for safety reasons. Staff did give out fans but we just upgraded to a spacious suite instead which was a lot cooler. Towels in bathroom very worn and thin. Woud have liked better toiletries. The rooms were very noisy. You could hear everything from the room next door from conversations to toilet activity!!. waiting for long check in but it was a very busy weekend and staff were doing there very best. It is an old hotel and need some remodelling but it is very clean and the room very spacious. as pensioners we found our room was a long way from reception and dinning room. The heating in the room, the room was very warm, I had to have the windows open day & night. The corridors were very, very warm. The heating wasn't on, the heat aparantly was due to the hot water pipes. ambience could have been better. Have no complaints bit of a walk to the room no air conditioning but got a fan at reception n that helped. Very uncomfortable bed. Worst mattress ive ever see. In a hotel. Mould on windowsill. Very noisy corridors and doors all day and night. 15 minutes walk to start of town. looked a little run down from the outside. Noisy bar late into the night. Don't get a room close to the playground and bar. No air conditioning. We stayed in the family suite which was quite uncomfortably hot at night. no complaints . . lobby area a little untidy,large bear should be removed,. nothing really maybe a slight march to our room but thats it. The heat in the rooms on the top floor.(unusual year). Nothing to dislike !. there was nothing that stands out on my mind. and we will be returning there again. Because of the popularity of the hotel there are Long Queue's for Breakfast. Having to Ask for Eggs Fried - as they only have Scrambled on show. Long walk to bedroom. Long queues for breakfast. The queue for breakfast was a joke. The lift was broken on the second day that we were there and on the day we booked out so it wasn't nice having to walk down the flights of stairs from the fourth floor with our luggage. Could not get any type of food after 9pm. e.g. sandwich.
