Greta surely was the most personable and friendly host that we stayed with on our recent 2-week tour of Ireland; she greeted us by name and spend a considerable amount of time welcoming us to this fantastic B&B. We found the room quite spacious for three persons, and the B&B is located in a delightfully quiet location just a few minutes stroll to the town of Killarney. Greta’s advice on bike rentals, pubs, and areas of interest were extremely helpful and exactly what we were looking for.

We were so happy to discover that the B&B was strongly Catholic and that we were able to talk about and share our faith experiences together! Thank-you, Thomas for taking the time to show us some of the lovely countryside that we would not have otherwise been able to see! And thank-you, “grandfather” for the T-Shirt!!! What a wealth of information you both shared with us!! We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to be able to come agai. We had a simply fabulous honeymoon stop at Algret house,the location, cleanliness and amenities were all perfect!Most of all the amazing always friendly Irish hospitality of Gretta who arranged a Ring of Kerry tour for us last minute,as well as having European/US outlet plugs for our use at check in!We had a fabulous time at this B&B and would recommend it to everyone!Oh and the Breakfast was delicious with homemade scones,and a very easy 5 minute walk into city center!. Everything was excellent. Our hostess Greta was so gorgeous, welcoming and helpful in tips of where to eat and sightseeing. Tours of the Ring of Kerry can also be organised there. Breakfast was excellent as was the room. Great location 5 minutes easy walk into centre of Killarney. The best base to set out to explore the southwest of Ireland. Her husband did a lot of beautiful carpentry throughout the house. Breakfast is delicious and plenty of it. Great location in a quiet neighborhood but just a 5 min. Walk to Killarney Town Centre. Short drive to Ross Castle, Muckross House, Killarney National Park, Lough Leane. Great base from which to explore the Iveragh Peninsula. Algret House was a great location only a 10-min. walk into the town center where there were many restaurants, lots of shopping and Deros Tours where we booked our Ring of Kerry Tour. It is only a 10 min. walk from train station, which was our mode of transportation. Greta was a wonderful hostess!. i stayed one week in ireland, sleeping at 7 different b&bs. this one is the best you can get considering the very low price. rooms perfect, breakfast super delicious and home-made. great company, tourist info books (not only the brochures but v useful books etc), very quiet room... The proprietor was so warm, friendly and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and property well maintained. Breakfast yummy! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and will recommend to all I know. 5 minute walk to downtown Killarney. My favorite place I stayed in Ireland. the owner was very friendly & helpful was very popular with all her guests. breakfast was excellent you could have anything you wanted even if it was not on the menu. weather was very hot & due too the heat provided us with a fan for the room without us having to ask. In all the places we have stayed, She was the first to offer my husband an alternative to tea/coffee at breakfast, A great place central place to stay. Location was good as it was a short walk to downtown Killarney but in a quiet location. The hosts were very helpful in suggesting dining options and sightseeing locations. Nothing. Room could have an extra chair (one seems silly in adouble room). Bathroom needs to have a soap container in the shower recess). Shower a bit weak.
