I had a wonderful experience at Redclyffe Guesthouse. Every thing was brilliant. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and it was very clean rooms. I had a comfortable stay. It is highly recommended guesthouse.

The price could be cheaper.

Almost everything! The location is perfect, the owners are decent, lovely, kind and very helpful. Couldn't ask for a better host. The value for our money in the room we got was excellent. The breakfast is everything we wanted plus it's served with a smile from the owners. How can you not have an enjoyable stay in such a place not too mention they got free WiFi. I will recommend the place to our friends anytime. Will go back there if we get a chance.

I wouldn't say I didn't like it but it's 56 steps on the stairs from the entrance to our room on the top most floor. It's a good exercise though. Just wish my knees were in better condition.

Staff was really nice, helpfull and lovely. Was my first time in guesthouse, I usually stay in hotels. I expect a nightmare, but was nothing like that. Was really nice comfy two nights. And the rooms really warm.

Fantastic welcome from the owners who made us feel comfortable throughout. Very good breakfast. Excellent location within a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cork. Parking available on site

Perhaps could benefit from a makeover ( repaint etc..) in the near future.

We had a clean, spacious and comfortable room with a great shower. Breakfast is good, hot food, coffee and juice. The location is not too far from town - it takes about 20 minutes to walk or you can jump on the bus that stops out the front and runs up the main street of Cork. A taxi from the bus station/city will cost less than 10 euro. The owner is friendly and helpful. This is a good choice considering how expensive some of the places right in town are. We really liked Cork and definitely got a good night's sleep at Redclyffe.

It could have been a little bit cheaper for the location, and our room had no heating - though to be fair the owner did give us a little blowy heater but it didn't work very well.

We really liked our host Mic. He was very helpful in telling us about the locale, restaurants, etc. His suggestions for restaurants were spot on. He has a great sense of humor!

Not enough electric outlets for three women traveling together. It is an older building, so that is understandable.

Lack of a chair in bedroom - nothing for guest to sit on - a folding one would have been best due to room size. Advertised 'toiletries', comprised soap only. Assumed shampoo/shower gel at least, since ensuite booked. Had to borrow from other guest. CH not on 'til 5. Not on in early morning (7 - 8)of checking out day. Kettle to large to be filled directly from washbasin. Nothing major, but a bit disappointing.

Extremely friendly host (John I think was his name). No nonsense feel to the place. Personally it was just what I was looking for as a solo traveller in Cork for one night, good location and a good price. Everything you need in the room.

Personally I can't fault it. No frills, but just what I was looking for.

We had an extra person with us and everywhere was booked up so they put down a mattress on the floor for us. Couldn't be more helpful.

The owner was incredibly nice! We accidentally booked the wrong night, so when we showed up not only did he not charge us for the night we had missed, he also let the three of us stay in a smaller room (the only one not booked) for a very decent price. The room was very clean, and had a nice homey feel to it. The included breakfast was very good, and there were a good amount of breakfast options.
