I asked for two rooms. When I arrived, one was already given out so the B&B staff offered a larger apartment at no extra charge. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions prior to and during my stay. The free breakfast served was delicious. I chose the "Full Irish", but there were more selections. The B&B is conveniently located to nearby restaurants, small grocery store, pubs, shops, and tourist attractions.

Food in bar is great value and tasty at end of long burren walks.Restaurant was closed during our stay but suspect it is good also.Standard in Ballyvaughan for food is high. The lodge is very cosy and warm with a friendly atmosphere, all the staff are very helpful and efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was great and the steak I had for dinner was cooked perfect. I will be recommending this guesthouse to friends. Thanks everyone!. Excellent location and staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well presented with a good hot shower. As it is located in the center of the village it is ideal for meeting friends in the evening. this little gem was central to all the activities in the burren. Very charming lodge and rooms. Tried our first Irish coffee at the pub. Had an excellent dinner (roast lamb) and dessert (Baileys brown bread ice cream) at the pub as well. Very little actually since our only problem was a faulty showerhead and solution was to move rooms. Nothing - all good. Nothing. nothing. maybe offer some more brands of Irish beer?. The bed was too hard. Terrible, terrible food. Breakfast was cooked in grease and flavourless. Our desserts were awful - cheesecake that seemed to be just beaten cream and nothing else and no hint of the Baileys it was said to be flavoured with - rhubarb crumble - thickened, glutinous rhubarb destroyed in flavour and crumble with no texture or flavour. Thank goodness we didn't eat dinner there. Come on people you can cook better than this!!! Give us back some flavour. village is small but sure that was to be expected. No music the night we stayed (early in the week) but we were directed manage to another hotel a few doors down that had some great local musicians. No housekeeping for our room, was acknowledged but still no one came. Nothing. could not bring any of their beautiful brown bread home as they were too busy on the day and chef could not spare any. Nothing . the door knob could do with fixing and the curtains were a little short. music too loud, and in every area (music and TV on at the same time. had to ask for AC/DC to be turned down over breakfast,. Nothing. room coild have done with a recent dusting. Breakfast was very average cold toast ....some fresh fruit, yoghurt please. Not a typical irish welcome. Staff not overly helpful concerning local knowledge for hiking trails. Made our decision to move on a day early quite simple. No adequate parking Room small dark poorly ventilated no view. Bathroom had no window and very noisy extractor fan. Bed was a double and soft . water system also noisy and smells from kitchen unpleasant.
