The Welcome we received from Mary and James began our stay on a wonderful note. The ambiance of the lodge was so welcoming. The selection of food for breakfast catered to all taste buds and was presented immaculately. Cannot recommend the 19th lodge enough to anybody who desires and irish welcome with close proximity to the golf course and the beach. It is in a superb location. Mary and James were the perfect hosts making every aspect of our visit stress free including arranging a baby sitter and a lovely seat at a restaurant in town. The Lodge itself is meticulously maintained and our room was perfect. Breakfast was lovely and our son loved the pancakes, home made scones were also delicious. We will be back again.
all reviews » James and Mary create a warm, weloming feeling from the moment of arrival. The room was large and light-filled, with a private bath. Breakfast was very robust and delicious. The location is great for golf, the beach or sight-seeing in the area. I would return whenever I can. My sister and I enjoyed it immensely. Mary and James were very welcoming. Food was excellent ..fantastic breakfast and accomodated our early tee time . upgraded me to a better room simply because it was available ..without asking. A great location for Ballybunion golf. I will definitely be back. Would definately stay here again. Owned and run by a lovely couple. Just had that personal touch from the food to the decor in particular the bedrooms. A little touch of luxury which is what you want at retirement age. Great location. Tom & Stella. This lodge was perfect for our family stay before golf at Ballybunion. Hosts were extremely welcoming and even made a dinner suggestion that was fabulous. Rooms were beautiful and clean. Hope to return!!. Mary and James, the owners, were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great suite. Breakfasts were very good. Location very handy; walking distance from the town and across the dunes to the beach. We were very impressed with the 19th Lodge. Everything was 1st class. Jim and Mary were so kind - even to the point of mailing our forgotten items back to us after we left. v.ery friendly owners. Good service. Friendly staff. Everything. everything. Nice large room with good view of golf course. Nothing. As noted, the stay was really good. The fact that we could`ent stay longer. There was a stale smell of cooking on arrival which wasn't very fresh. The central heating came on early morning and that was noisy. I could not fault anything about the 19th Golf Lodge. Nothing really. internet very poor breakfast not as magnificent as website and reviews would suggest. the king-sized bed needs to be fixed or replaced as it squeeks at the slightest movement. I wasn't in love with the town of Ballybunion itself but that's where the golf course is!. nothing. Nothing bad to say. nothing. Breakfast was limited with little choice - only fresh fruit was water melon, no salmon on one day, few choices of cereal.
